User reviews. Alittle pricey, but worth it. their presentations are always inspiring and the food is delicious! not to meation the decor is totally cool! they have candles lining the rustic walls and high wooden booths. It’s a great place to grab a cocktail after a movie at the admiral theater.
Similar to Matador. I found the food here to be similar to that of the Matador chain. The differences I found in my one visit were that the drinks at Mission were much, much better while the habenero pork enchiladas at Matador are much, much better than the enchiladas I got at Mission. The plantains and guacamole were decent but I had been expecting so much from them that they were disappointing at the time.
Upside down-Needs a Rescue!. Once great food and decent service….all down hill in thenlast two years. Taco Time does a better presentation of their food, it taste better and the service is 100 percent better. If you want food sent to your table that looks like it was thrown on the plate, lacks distinct flavors and should be ashamed….show up. Otherwise drive down to Pesos in lower Queen Anne or go to Matadore, where not as good as Pesos, but a good average meal…better service and food prep tasty. Please someone buy The Mission and turn this place back around to its former glory. Even the margaritas…huge dissapointment….last 6 months, all mixer and they were the best ….back in dreamland.
Really?I am still reeling as I write this. I didn’t think that level of unprofessional customer service existed anymore. Mission proved me wrong. We politely asked to be seated elsewhere since there was a woman who felt that everyone in her surrounding area should hear of her numerous travails. Our waitress, if she could be called that, made it apparent from her not-so-subtle response (the lack of a verbal commitment, discussing-with-her-coworker-in-the-distance-eye-roll, the intentional-fine-I’ll-take-longer-than-necessary-so-you-get-my-message-technique) that it was an inconvenience for her. Needless to say we were out of there faster than Speedy Gonzalez. The silver lining though? We found a quaint, cozy, little gem of a Taiwanese restaurant in the ID–Henry’s Taiwan Plus.
The best guilt-free nachos ever. We got to Mission frequently for happy hour, and my main comment is that while everything we’ve tried has been good, the nachos with vegetables added are truly the best nachos I’ve ever had. Instead of being slathered with orange cheese, the large delicious chips are topped with beans, salsa, delicious sauteed or roasted vegetables, and lightly garnished with queso fresco. Two of us can polish this off with our beer and not feel terribly guilty!
