My new favorite pizza place in West Seattle! My husband, son and I visited Pizzeria 22 for dinner and were overly surprised at the yummi flavors (and textures) of their pizzas. We tried the Salame Troy and Margherita special-both devine. Cozy/warm decor and kind service-our new favorite pizza place for sure.
Best pizza!. I popped in here while walking around. I had the DOC. Great service; funny, personable employees; enchanting atmosphere–an all-around win. I looked over some of the other complaints. Didn’t have any of those issues. Pizza tasted super fresh. No soggy spots. Mozzarella was divine. Water was served exactly as I asked for it. I was given scissors to cut my pizza so I could decide exactly what size I wanted my slices to be–honestly, if you’re insulted by the idea of cutting your own pizza slices, you probably shouldn’t be eating PIZZA.Only complaint: They really shouldn’t have let me eat that entire pizza!
Pretty good. I went for happy hour and was not disappointed. For under $10.00 I had a glass of red wine and a personal pepperoni pizza. I liked the pizza quite a bit but the center of the crust was soggy and I would have preferred a crispy crust. They say the oven heats up to 800 degrees and the pizza cooked in about 3 minutes. could have used a bit more time in the oven but all in all I will go back for more.
Great, great pizza – thin slice Italian – great clams – amazing Gelato
Avoid this place!. First, let me say as someone who lived in Italy for many years, I was thrilled to have a pizzeria in West Seattle that served authentic wood-fired Napoli-style pizza. However, this is probably the worst pizza experience I’ve had in ages. The place is tiny, compact and deafening in volume. However, that could have been forgiven if the pizza had been made properly. Our pizzas came to our table charcoal burnt on the edges and silver dollar size black burn marks on the bottom. When, I told the waiter that this was not acceptable (if one tried to serve someone something like these in Italy, the restaurant would lose word of mouth in days), the waiter took them back to the pizzaiolo, who obviously didn’t know how to keep turning the pizzas and he remarked that is how they are supposed to be! Then, the waiter suggested I was wrong about how pizzas are meant to be. Needless to say, we left and shall not return. We have a bet going about which business will close first… the Blockbuster video across the street from this farce or Pizzeria 22. Go to Tutta Bella instead or support Phonecia on Alki. Ma dai!
Disappointing, go somewhere where the establishment appreciates the customer.. Food was ok, nothing special, but he service sucked! Ordered a salad to split and the salad was brought to the table with no service ware. Pizza was brought to the table, not cut. When I asked if it could be cut, they said their pizza’s are single servings so they don’t cut them and handed me a pair of scissors if I wanted to cut it….remember I was splitting it, it is a decent size for 2 people. When my mom ordered one for takeout, they said they charge an additional $1 to put it in the box! Really!!!!They are not going to survive if they don’t understand the concept about customer service. My recommendation is to go somewhere where the establishment appreciates customers and the business.
Delightful, authentic Italian-like pizza with distinctive touches, creative appetizers and such, even house wine in a cup – you could be in Rome.
