We had a corner table by the window, probably one of the best dining views in the city. Service was very good and helpful. We started off with the mussels, which were great. I had the Louie salad with Dungeness crab, which was delightful. My partner had the Dungeness crab melt and Brussel sprouts, both of which were awesome. Great meal.
What a great family experience. The only thing I’d skip next time is the gumbo & soup? The rest makes the price quite worth it!! Crab, oysters! Yum!
I went here for brunch on the weekend. Unless you enjoy dropping a paycheck on food with a view, this may not suit you. For a regular working Joe like me, this is once a year, if that, kinda place. Decent selection of brunch fare, and on demand options, you really only attack the seafood to make the visit worthwhile. Dungeness and snow crab were good with clarified butter, prime rib, clams, mussels, and oysters. The other standouts were a salmon Benedict, shrimp gumbo, and it was one of our birthdays, so the passion fruit dessert exploded on your tongue. Probably another one of those places you go to impress your date. I expect to be back here in 2018 or something.
My sisters favorite place to have dinner, I introduced my future wife here with a wonderful dinner, every time the service and dining experience was absolutely Delicious.I think the view and food are worth the visit.
Staying at the Fairmont Olympic, Salty’s was an ideal choice. You would make the reservation through Fairmount and not Salty’s.They will bring a limo to pick you up and take you to the restaurant and back (up to 6 people). This is complimentary by the way. Of course tips are always nice. The driver will actually go in with you and take you to your table to an very awesome view of downtown Seattle. We had a crab cake appetizer, which I believe may have been some of the best crab cake I have eaten. Also, I had a couple of bites of their Cesar salad. They added a little bit of lemon flavor to it, which gave it a unique taste. Very good. I’ll go on to list the fish we had. Halibut – Chefs Special, very good. 3 in our party ordered this and all were happy. Came on top of Mashed Potatoes and topped with asparagus. Fish and Chips – this dish is very good for someone who may not enjoy seafood like the rest of us King Salmon – very good salmon. If you are from the south (Texas-Louisiana…) I would say you may not enjoy the salmon. It’s very plain, but taste very fresh! Not much spice. Our table shared the s’mores dessert. They actually bring a small blow torch and roast the marshmallow in front of you. Very cool! If I go back to Seattle. I may go back. But more tempted to spend more time at the market.
Salty’s was a great choice for dinner. The view is such a beautiful site. With the harbor and the Seattle skyline as you dine on amazing food. I had the halibut fish and chips and it was great! And I usually not a big seafood eater. My family had nothing bad to say. Little expensive tho
Good but I’m not so sure it’s worth the great deal of money. I had the halibut but I thought it was kind of bland… My dad got the king salmon and we traded because I liked the salmon more and the salmon was good but I’ve had better for less…
