Super good fried oysters. We were visiting with one of my wif’e’s bridesmaids from our wedding in 1987 after a cruise to Alaska and I had the fried oysters. If I had closed my eyes, which I believe I did, while I was eating them I would have thought I was eating ones that my mother used to make. Hers were delicious and these were too. They are the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I would recommend the Sunfish to anyone visiting Seattle.

Tried to have lunch but they’re closed all Dec thru Jan 10th!

Simple, Fresh and Good. The food at Sunfish was as simple and tasty as I remembered it nine years ago when I lived in West Seattle. In a time when many of my favorite haunts have either gone under or started offering grossly inferior food, Sunfish has kept the quality up: Their cod fillets were moist and firm with a thin, crisp coating and their fries were spot on. Even my uber-picky seven year old (who has never eaten fish without considerable protest) gobbled his fillet down.If you want simple, inexpensive fish and chips on Alki, bypass the greasy smelling competition down the street and head south a couple of blocks to the real deal.

Great fish. Nice view. Locals and visitors both enjoy.

Awesome Food – 25+ years. I have been eating there since they had the old location on Fauntleroy in 1985. I grew up on spud but Sunfish rocks and Ivar’s isn’t even close. Meals are always excellent. Be sure to try the halibut fish and chips (with lots of garlic vinegar) and the kabobs. It is not inexpensive but well worth it. Ask the owners Michael and Peter about their homeland in Crete.

Best Fish & Chips in Puget Sound. If you like paper thin breading on your fish with hardly any oil, come here. The prices are not cheap but eating out in the Seattle area has always been overpriced. However, getting excellent food for any price is oftentimes worth it. Drive past Ivars (the McDonalds of seafood) and come to a really good place to sample fresh fish and fries.
