The food is alright…. The food here is alright; but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t say I ‘love it’, but I don’t ‘hate it’ either. I do like their nachos, because they are an interesting twist on nachos, topped with their house-made chili and cotija cheese. This combination is somewhat addicting. Another thing I’d recommend is the mac’n’ cheese. I do not recommend the sirloin steak bites, though. They are really dry and look remarkably like canned dog food (chunks with gravy). LOL! The atmosphere is very retro 50’s – 60’s, which I love. I always get seated in the back where I can’t see the neat decor in the front. The back is not as impressive! For some reason, my fiance can never relax and enjoy himself when we are there, so we will probably not go back again…

Must be the BLT I didn’t order?. Because the sandwiches I tasted were sans flavor. But to be fair, too much swiss cheese melted over anything is just flavor kill. I wouldn’t have ordered the grilled cheese knowing it had swiss if a girl walking out hadn’t stopped to recommend it. I’m a sucker for recommendations, so I took it and yeah. Not good. As far as ambiance in this place…. The only thing that could have saved it is if Huggy Bear had strolled from the back, because this place is straight out of the 70s, and not in a good way. I was disappointed because I wanted to like the ol’ historical aspect of it.

This is good and bad. I do enjoy their fabulous tiki bar inspired drinks. Their food is also wonderfull however, trying to get a server to come to your table can be a challenge.
