The sardine butter was interesting Been here before with a friend and ordered the Kobe burger.. Came again and suggested the burger to Sky Collison so he got it medium rare and I got the roasted chicken with a vegetable rice. The chicken was yummy and the rice had tons of flavor. Sky’s burger on the other hand was still alive It was more like rare.We swapped dishes and made it work. The spot is a little overpriced but the staff is nice and the setting is very pleasant.
We were in for dinner at 7:30 on September 11. Drinks weren’t served for half an hour. Appetizers took another thirty minutes. Dinner arrived 45 minutes thereafter. The apologies were half-hearted and insincere. The manager was aware of the situation. An offer was made to comp dessert but they never came back so we asked for check. This is about my tenth (and last) time there. Every other experience had been gourmet and service had been fine. Shame on you….
Great addition to West Seattle. At the end of a day, if you want to unwind and relax at a place where you can have conversation, be surrounded with good lighting & atmosphere, and have some really tasty dishes, this is your place. Start with sumac chickpeas as one of your small plates, work through grilled sardines, onion tart, then move forward to your main dish, or desert, or better yet make the small plates your dinner tapas style. The house red is wonderful, and the portion is generous. Their side salads are freshly made to order. Their Kobe burger is one of the best in town. I try to keep my carb intake low, thus I order it without a bun and a salad in place of french fries. Enjoy!
Cozy new spot in W Seattle. Hits a lot of good notes. Creative, delicious food full of flavor. Wonderful pastas. To die for burger. My favorite is the grilled prawns over andouille potato hash.
