Wow, nice setting but the worst service of my life. someone needs to have a heart to heart with the ‘waitress’. had to go in from the deck to get cream and sugar. had to go in to get a drink for my son. Got a stack of cutlery dumped in front of my wife’s order (that arrived without the cheese it was to come with), toast arrived completely untoasted, waited half an hour for her to come by to address, finally went inside to rectify on my own. wife couldnt order pepermint tea she had to go inside and point at the pepermint tea she wanted. holy cow!!! will i be back? sadly no way! what a waste, such good potential. oh yeah, after 45 min no offer for a coffee top up either
Eagle’s Roost Makes Par. Not a bad place if you don’t mind an average meal. It seems unfair to call this place uninspired, as I doubt that you can glean much inspiration from frozen battered fish fillets and french fries anyway. That said, the food was hot, and I didn’t have to cook it myself. I have no complaints about the price, nor about the service. The food filled me up, and it tasted the way I expected it to. Will I be coming back? Probably not. With several restaurants just down to road that offer original creations that are both flavourful and fresh, forgetting about the Eagle’s Roost won’t be much of a challenge.
