I had Pho for the first time here. Not the biggest fan of pho but it was very filling and refreshing. The chicken pho bowl is served with plenty of veggies and very well cooked chicken with a hint of mint.
A trendy Vietnamese restaurant located in a quieter part of Cap Hill remains open super late (4AM) but thats not all it has going for it. Ba Bar hand makes their noodles on a daily basis and makes many of their menu items in house to keep food tasting fresh and delicious. The atmosphere at night is fantastic. With limited lighting, I kind of feel as if I am in some trendy, upscale eatery about to enjoy some amazing food. With their recent expansion in SLU and soon at U Village, there are more places to find the famous spicy pho that Anthony Bourdain loves last time he went to the original Ba Bar
Ba Bar is the perfect place for late night grub in Seattle. This upscale Vietnamese restaurant serves innovative cocktails and damn good Ph. Pro Tip: Ask for two Chinese donuts. These soft, fluffy pillows of carb-y goodness will change your life for the better. gristleandgossip.com
This place is absolutely amazing. As a pho connoisseur this place definitely hit top spot. Had the pho ha noi special and the soup stock is more Thai like such is sweet, sour and spicy, very spicy. The soup is as close as to when I had in Thailand where there is a depth of flavors behind the spicyness. My wife had the bin hue and the soup base is completely different (most places just reuse the same base and just add chilli). It is tomatoey, seafoody. Absolutely amazing. The meat used in the pho is top quality and is very tender. The meat ball is probably home made and is very very good.
There is pho, and then there is BaBar. It is the best in Seattle, and I’d wager some of the best in the US. So much more than pho, so experiment with the menu. You must order the weekend dumplings that are made in house just inside the restaurant entrance.
Go there. You have to love the energy of the place and the M Vt Tim.What’s not to love about deeply flavored broth with duck confit sticking out of it? The original cocktails were good, and so were the dumplings tostart.
Lovin’ everything here! The vibes are wonderful- low lights, laid back but trendy atmosphere. The drinks were wonderful and the Pho Ga was to die for.
