The only place that serves authentic Vietnamese mi vit tiem (braised duck noodle soup). It is not as good as my mom’s duck noodle soup but it tastes above average and is authentic. Most Vietnamese restaurants do not make authentic duck noodle soup but this one does. This is good place to eat when I’m in mood for duck noodle soup
Addicted to these Vermicelli Noodles. I read a review of this place in Seattle magazine a few years ago, went to check it out and have been hooked ever since. They are reputed to be great for chicken wings (and they do look good), but, I’ve never tried them because I am so addicted to the fresh vermicelli noodles, dry style, with roasted duck (braised duck is good too but I slightly prefer the roasted). I have to get it every time. The side broth seeps through the duck and picks up all that flavor and is just – perfect. I eat here several times a month because it’s just so awesome. And of course, great, fast friendly service and boundless jasmine tea. Divine!
Amazing Food and Service!. Hue Ky Mi Gia is my new favorite Asian restaurant because of the consistently yummy food and outstanding and attentive service. The name translates out to roughly Hue Family Chinese Noodle House. The service is swift; the wait staff kind. The food is flat -out great!!! When you come in a few times, you are soon treated like a regular. Since February 2013 I pop by this place at least once a week, usually more. Huy, (pronounced Hwee), the affable owner, and his waiters are endearing and so totally sincere. No fakery here. As a single woman coming here to eat alone on several occasions, I have never been treated like a pariah or an oddity. I’ve seen other single women do the same and the service is just as nice. Kids and couples. Geeks and non geeks. Couples and grandparents. Whites, Blacks, Asians. Everyone is warmly welcomed. Waiting for food to go? Huy makes sure you are immediately seated and promptly brings you a mug of hot tea. That’s graciousness! The food is flat -out yummy!!! I started out with Mi Xao Don ( pronounced sorta like me sow young),-crispy fried egg noodles with veggies and sauce, my old Vietnamese standby. But I soon discovered their stir-fried egg noodles and veggie fried rice. The noodles are made in -house.Amazing!! That cook knows what he’s doing!! So, now I always get a side of the egg noodles and the veggie fried rice. Tonight I tried the stir-fried veggies with rice which was also excellent. Do you like only certain veggies? No problem and no attitude, unlike other places. Perfect! Oh, and they have white pepper on the table, a wonderful touch!!!They’re closed on Tuesdays. Delightful delicious food served by sweet kind people!!Mary
The garlic chicken wings are incredible! I had the special stir fry. BBQ pork, beef, chicken and shrimp. The sauce they use is perfect. A perfect blend of spices. For a different experience on bread, try the Chinese donuts.
We went here after seeing a small article in Seattle Magazine. This place is AMAZING! We started with the Galic Wings – which is why we came – and graduated on to a delicious Roasted Duck Egg Noodle dish and Combination Stir Fry. The sauces are light, not too salty, and very flavorful. The wings are crispy, delicious little wings of heaven. Come hungry, leave happy!
M13 Mi Sui Kau Xa Xiu – Sui Kau & BBQ Pork Egg Noodle. The meal itself was a bit bland as is, but beautifully presented (It’s mouthwatering from its display alone). Added a teaspoon of low sodium soy sauce, some red vinegar and a small scoop of spicy sauce in the dipping dish. It tasted great with the additional flavour. The veggies were fresh tasting, still crunchy and well decorated. The Sui Kau (not sure what the translation is) was soft and tender. The egg noodles were made to perfection (it wasn’t over done to the point where it becomes soggy, it wasn’t hard as when you just boil them, just right).About the location, it gets really busy there around lunch time. The entrance / waiting area inside the door is cramped and really small. They were smart to put a standing propane heater outside the door, so customers could keep warm outside while they waited. The servers were fast to cleaning the table as people left and sat people as soon as they could. Even when it was busy, it only took about 15 minutes to wait. There’s plenty of parking in the underground lot.
