Came here once because my grandfather was so stubborn and refused to go anywhere else besides this place. I’m not a big fan of pho but I didn’t have a choice but to order pho since they only have pho on the menu. I thought it tastes above average. My grandfather loves the food here but my husband thinks it’s just average.
its sort of hidden, but this is old school goodness. when this first open, ages ago, you could only order a small or a large. that was it. now there are a few other things to order. i’m going with the basic pho tai and good it is. i love this place. even though it’s cash only, i will come here for the basics and to get my comfort food.
Great place for pho.. Got to Seattle early and hit up Pho Bac for an early dinner. I don’t live in the area and haven’t eaten here in years. Ordered a large bowl with everything which was delicious. If your looking for a great bowl of pho for a good price come here so your not disappointed else where.
This is the first place I ever tried pho, about 15 yrs ago. They only had two things on the menu..large and small. Really good and satisfying soup. No wonder they are successful .
It’s a dive…in the best way. Back in Seattle after a year on the east coast I find myself longing for pho and on a budget…Pho Bac is the perfect solution.I’m a girl that wears Chanel but is not above slurping delicious noodles in a place that needs a good scrubbing and looks like a strong wind could blow it over. Don’t be afraid…GO IN!The pho comes with a generous plate of jalepenos, sprouts and basil. I need to know where they get that basil…i swear I pay $6 for that much basil in the store alone. Fresh, tasty, filling and cheap…I will go back again and again.
Get Down. And by that I mean, if you go here and it’s not summer be prepared to wear your jacket during dinner since they have not discovered indoor heating (all 13 diners were wearing their coats and the waitress had on a down jacket). In spite of some ratings I’ve seen ranking this unobtrusive (i.e. no money put into ambiance) pho joint among the top few in Seattle, I’d say that the food is no better than the Than Brothers or a variety of other good Pho restaurants and the service, while speedy, is also on a par with others. All of this is to say it’s good, but there’s probably just as good closer to your home.
