I go for the hotpot. True, do not look away from your food, as you may be horrified by what you see (kinda dirty, staff sleeping in dining area), but it’s real good. Again, the price for a hotpot is real cheap, and you can also get bottomless potstickers. They also have a peanut – sesame type sauce that compliments the whatever is coming out of that broth.
Not Authentic. I must first come clean and say that I am biased from living in Sichuan China for the last six years. So my expectations are not high considering I am not there. The food here although not bad has a few components that I don’t like. First it is to Sweet. Sichuan food is not sweet at all, and the substitution of peanut sauce for sesame sauce is okay, but overall dishes are vastly different. Second not enough Ma numbing and La Spice. for instance the Mapo Dofu should be spicy and numbing with big chunks of dofu and some meat which it all lakced. second the Twice cooked pork is to sweet and lacks pixian bean sauce the essential element of good twice cooked pork and Sichuan cuisine
Might Be the Best Chinese I’ve Had in Seattle. I went here based off a recommendation from a co-worker, and it was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Szechuan Beef, and it was absolutely unbelievable. Amazingly spicy, the sauce was perfect, and the portions are enormous. I will go back here and try literally everything on the menu. Can’t recommend highly enough.
So stuffed. I had one chance in Chinatown, Seattle as I am from Utah. This was a well anticipated experience. I thought of going to the Jade Garden that I had heard so much about, but wanted to beat a huge line so decided on this restaurant since It still had great reviews. The ladies working there were so nice, especially to my three year old: they just ate his cuteness up. There was a little chinese woman wrapping egg rolls at the table next to ours. I love small personal aspects of restaurants that let you experience things like that. The menu was so vast it took me forever to decide. I had heard good things about the boiled fish, and decided on the boiled beef. My husband ordered an entree and we also got fried rice and egg rolls. I couldn’t believe how much food was brought to out table! The boiled beef was so freaking spicy and delicious. There was no way I could have finished all of. Most of the chinese I am able to get is so boring so I loved this experience. The rice and egg rolls were just okay, but very cheep for the amount they gave us. I would recommend this place to others.
