We walked from Safeco Field after baseball game. Do-able but uphill all the way! We really did have trouble locating it (back of parking lot) but so glad we didnt give up. Our server was very helpful and our food was delicious. The decor was lovely and restful and we did not spend a fortune. Definitely plan to return
We will never go back to this place unfortunately, because theres nothing better than good Vietnamese food. We were treated abominably last night. We made a reservation for a party of 12. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, jammed in the small space by the front door. Then, when they finally seated us, we were put in the outside area with plastic walls, a giant cascading water feature and no real heat. It was freezing in there. There was no mention of this and no compensation for having waited that long. Not even appetizers for the table. When I asked for a blanket the waitress sadly shook her head. She moved to the overhead propane heater closer to me but it did very little. It was absurd, even though we toughed it out. almost everyone ordered soup, because what else could we do after zipping up our jackets. We were happy for each others company, so nobody complained, but I could see the breath of the woman across from me when she spoke!
Had a huge family meal here. Every dish was quite good and I would recommend the 7 Courses of Beef, though I found their la lot beef a little too over-spiced. Only minor disappointment was the dry chicken for the vermicelli, but otherwise a good spot.
a nice upscale version of a Vietnamese restaurant. If you are coming as part of a pair, go for the 7 Courses of Beef. You get a ton of food at a very reasonable price, and every course is mouth watering.
Sweet Spot in th ID. A little hard to find, and a little patience needed for the parking… but it’s worth the effort. Walking into the Tamarind Tree is like stepping into a small oasis off of Jackson St. It’s dim, and elegant, yet unassuming. The menu is extensive. I was impressed by the vegetarian choices for my daughter. I loved the Gi u ~ Green papaya salad., Ch qu cm xanh ~ Cinnamon pork rice balls and the Baby clams rice cracker . These were easy to share at the table and liked by all. I’m really looking forward to summer and sitting out in the patio that for some reason I’ve not had a chance to enjoy. Bring on the sunshine! (and the Green Papaya Salad!)
