Today is my birthday and my boss bought me lunch. I chose Mexican and Rio Grande. BIG MISTAKE! We tried ordering food at 11:30 but their phone was off the hook. So my coworkers went to order in the restaurant and bring it back. After 3 mistakes and 1 hour later they finally come in with our food, COLD FOOD and still missing items that were ordered and paid for. Once I realized the mistake I tried to call back and the phone was off the hook again. WORST EVER. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Not the Best Place to Be. I went here after a show at the Keith Albee once, and it wasn’t anything to envy. The food wasn’t memorable and just doesn’t compete with the stiff competition for Mexican restaurants. Not to mention that there was an obnoxious drunk that the management did nothing about. I won’t be going back.
Best Mexican restaurant in town and its still open not sure why the false information great margarita special and place looks great inside I eat there at least once a week
Best Mexican Restaurant In Tri-State. …And I’ve eaten at almost all of them. I asked the owner one time why his food was so much better than others (most of them are too greasy for me). He told me that he tried to cook it just like his mother did! Well, he’s got my vote, I prefer this place to any others.Best ice tea ANYWHERE. Sooooooo good!!!!
Love it. The last person that posted that talked about how awful it was is obviously confused. The food is good. Its not a trashy place and obviously if you are on this site you see that it is listed under cheap eats which means sorry princess they arent going to treat you like royalty. its one of my favorite places in town. My only complaint is that we can never find parking when we go. But when i am in the mood for some good mexican food, Rio Grande always hits the spot. You get alot of food for a good price. My husband and I go we both get soft drinks, an order of queso dip and our dinners for under 20 dollars,
