Tried the BBQ burger, pulled pork was delicious but the burger patty was a defrosted puck of flavorless grey mush. Establishment was clean, good atmosphere, server was attentive and friendly. Using fresh ground beef would have changed this to a rating of 5; Wendy’s doesn’t even freeze their meat!
It was ok but I don’t think I’ll return. I wasn’t that impressed. The food was ok. I’m not sure what happened but it isn’t as good as it was.
Excellent food. The staff is fun and funky. Never have had a bad experience there! They have some great specials and some unique desserts! Make a special trip to eat here!
Pretty good. Fried Green Tomatoes, Beef Brisket Sandwich with Brocolini and Greens. The dessert was excellent – Krispie Kreme Bread Pudding, washed down with an IPA.
I would like to say I was very impressed with the Atomic Grill. The atmosphere was awesome, was very easy to talk to the staff who, btw, made an awesome recommendation for dinner. The Black and White was a great sandwich. Definitely going to come back and will bring friends when they come toVisit. Keep up the good work!
What happened?. This place was great when it first opened but it’s gone so far downhill. Such a disappointment the last few times I’ve been in. I cannot recommend anything on the menu anymore.
Keeps getting better. This is a place that I might have rated poorly if I did my review after they first opened, which was a while ago now. I’m glad I gave them another chance, because they are now on my regular restaurant rotation. They are a little expensive, but locally sourced foods tend to lead to higher costs. Their bbq is delicious, and I really like their sauce selection. The fried green tomatoes are highly recommended as well! Or take a chance on a daily special, which is always unique and tasty. Service is great (not so when they first opened, so they’ve really done a good job of training and hiring better servers over time). They lost their liquor license for a while but it’s back. Their wine selection is very good, better than you might expect for a bbq place. They mainly have local craft beers, which I like to support, but the selection is often lackluster…at least for my taste. I’m sure a lot of people like the beer styles they serve or they’d serve something else. My only real complaint is that when I manage to save room for dessert, it always seems the one thing I’m salivating over trying is the one that runs out before I get it. Oh, they also support local bands at their Atomic Late Night events, but sadly, turnout has not been good the times I’ve gone there for that. I don’t know if they just don’t advertise well enough for people to know they have some nights they stay open later for events, or if the location is just not conducive to attracting a late night crowd, or maybe I just picked bad nights. It’s a cozy, intimate atmosphere for listening to a band, which I like.
