Founders Favorite. It is my favorite. The wait is long but well worth it. I enjoy sitting by the tables people watching on High Street. A nice dessert in the hot afternoons in Motown.
No no no. I am no ice cream hater…but after waiting in line for what felt like forever I was given a very expensive cup of ice cream that wasn’t fit for human consumption. Ice cream is meant to have salt in it. Just a little bit, but like in all things you bake or cook, salt is required. I took one overly sweet bite and threw my ice cream out. (I tried to give it away, since I hate to waste food, but there were no takers.) I e-mailed the company about my experience, and they sent me free coupons! As you can imagine I gave those away to friends with a much more pronounced sweet tooth.
I love the Mudpie Mojo! Oreo, peanut butter, chocolate fudge sauce, toasted almonds. People say it is expensive, but to me it is worth it. I eat this every week in the summer. I don’t really get any other flavor, so I can only speak for this one item. The ice cream is very rich, so be careful if you are even a little lactose intolerant.
Tastes good but too expensive. I like Cold Stone, but the price isnt worth it for me considering its really just ice cream.
Pricey but good. It’s rare to find full-fat ice cream these days, but I can do that at Cold Stone. However, it’s Very Expensive and super-bad-for-you, so we rarely go there. For my money, I prefer the Tutto Gelato down the street. More flavor for your money.
Bland ice cream. The true test of any ice cream place is whether they can produce a good vanilla. CSC can’t–bland, gummy, and sometimes with ice crystals, unless you blend in the sickly sweet toppings (which, I suspect, covers the blandness of the ice cream), it takes a bit like spackle. The Dairy Queen on High Street, honestly, is much better.
