Wonderful spicy (or not spicy) homemade food!. Garcia’s is currently located in the old Warner Theater building, in the former Carvel Ice Cream Parlor space. They sell homemade tortillas of multiple varieties, spices, hot sauces, coffees, and sodas from Latin America. Before today, I had ordered their white corn tortillas through the now-defunct farmer’s market delivery service. I never enjoyed a corn tortilla until I had Garcia’s. Today, as I walked up High Street, I saw their signs proclaiming tacos for sale, and I had to stop. They are very friendly people there. The prices are quite reasonable, and the (soft) tacos are loaded to overflowing. You can a single taco for $3 plus change, or a two-tacos-and-drink-and-tortilla-chips-and-cookie combo for $8-9 plus change. They offer more variety than most places where you buy tacos in this area. I had their spicy stewed pork taco and the potato & chorizo taco. Both were great, and the chorizo seemed to be of higher quality, and less salty than I’ve had at other places. There are several vegetarian options, including a bean & potato taco and a veggie taco.One unusual thing is that instead of a side of guacamole, you can order a side of avocado, which comes cubed. I heartily recommend this place. It’s a great lunchtime deal, and they turn their great tortillas into great tacos.
This is the real deal. Take it from this Texan… you won’t find a more authentic experience with TexMex food anywhere in West Virginia than this place. They don’t stay open late for dinner (yet); this is more of a lunch taco place. Options are a bit limited on the menu, but what they have is outstanding. Pork is perfectly seasoned, the beans are perfect, and the chorizo is… I’m sorry, my wife and I can’t describe it… the word delicious seems like such an understatement.

Best Tacos Anywhere. I love Garcia’s. They have a truck they take to different locations during the week and they have a table they set up once or twice a week in downtown Morgantown and my friends and I never miss a chance to eat lunch there. Fresh homemade tortillas, fresh homemade salsa and a variety of fillings, Spanish chicken, Chipotle bbq pork, and the best chorizo and potato, the greatest combo ever created. The people are so nice too, like family. They will be selling food out of there shop soon and they will have some delicious coffees too.
