Meh. Gibbies has a lot of great beer on tap, the only problem is their beer comes from the basement so if you order something other than Bud, Bud Light or Yuengling odds are that it has been sitting in the line and it comes out flat and gross. If you enjoy paying a cover to get terrible service and you want to watch the owner take up space in the lower bar as he drinks a pitcher of soda while he watches Mike and Molly instead of changing the TV to Monday Night Football, Gibbies is the place for you.
Good food. Carribean jerk wings are awesome. Good service and nice beer selection. Recommended.

Good food, great hangout!. The ‘team trivia’ competition hosted by Gibbie’s on Monday and Thursday nights has drawn me in on numerous occasions, so I’ve had the opportunity to sample not only many of the standard menu items (the Cajun-honey-bbq wings are addictive!), but also some of the recurring specials (like the homemade meat loaf with mashed potatoes), and have never been disappointed. This place has everything going for it… good food and service, great beer selection, live music, trivia… I may just end up a ‘regular’ if I’m not careful.
This place roxx my soxx!!. Amazing beer selection, local colour *and* good food? Gibbie’s is an awesome neighbourhood pub – everyone should go there. Don’t be tied to a chain all your life – support your local businesses!
Mostly awesome.. I’ve been going to Gibbie’s for years. The staff members are courteous and friendly, especially the kitchen staff. Those folks would make almost anything for a regular customer, even if it’s not technically on the menu. The food is mostly good, although the quality of the food seems to depend a lot on which cooks are making it. To be honest, the girl cooks are just better. For example: if you order a steak, make sure that one of the two girls in the kitchen is going to be the person preparing it, because the girls always make them tender and wonderful, but at least one of the guy cooks (and I’m not sure which one, unfortunately) really has NO idea how to cook a steak without making it tough. I ordered a filet mignon one time that was prepared by one of the guys, and it was literally too tough to chew. That should never, ever happen to a filet.Their brew fries are to DIE for, though, and the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina barbecue sauce is also particularly delicious. If you’re looking for dessert, the brownie sundae is really good but again, try and make sure that one of the girls made the brownies. Theirs are always soft, but some of the guys can’t seem to make them without having the edges come out hard as concrete. Also, the bacon blue burger is not technically on the menu, but if the girls are in the kitchen, just ask them and they’ll make it for you. It’s probably the best burger in town. 🙂
Local joint with big personality. Gibbie’s is a great local place to get typical pub style food and other entree’s with a bit of homestyle flair. I like the beer selection as well, there aren’t many places where you can find Lindemans on tap next to Bud Light and Guiness. 🙂 The staff is a mixed bag of personalities but overall I found them to be friendly and accommodating. Why visit a typical chain when you can support a local joint?
