Manager/owner was rude and pretentious to one of my employees. Attitude was just very unprofessional, snobby, and acted they were doing you a favor by letting you eat at their place of business. What a shame cause the food was great and the server I had was very polite. Will not be getting another dime of mine or anyone I know’s money. If this encounter was any indicator, no wonder Richwood Grill ended up the way it did despite it’s wonderful chef and staff. If this place is successful it will be in spite of management, not because of it.
Without doubt Morgantown’s premier destination for delicious food and exceptional service. A seasonally changing menu featuring local and regional ingredients combined with a knowledgeable and friendly staff provide a dining experience second to none. Hill & Hollow is the perfect place to share a romantic dinner for two, to celebrate life’s milestones with family and friends, or to just relax and unwind after a long day. I have never left feeling unsatisfied, and would recommend Hill & Hollow to anyone looking for a pleasantly unique experience in Morgantown.
Very good food. Richwood Grill was my wife and my go-to for special occasions. H&H has recaptured our attention and has the same great food as before. The ambience is different from RG, and it is missed. Love the local farm to fork and hillbilly cuisine.
Pricey but the food was delicious. If you like cheese I recommended their assorted cheese platter, FANTASTIC! I would consider this place a fine dining establishment.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Highly recommend it especially for special occasions. Try the blood, bones and blush when they offer it, you won’t be disappointed.
Looking for gourmet food in a relaxed environment in Morgantown? Hill & Hollow is it. We held a special graduation celebration dinner here–it was fabulous! The physical space is beautiful with a dark wood interior and a gorgeous bar, plus superior and attentive service people rounded out the experience. Smoked trout spread and blue crab escabeche were our favorites of the appetizers. The Black Sea Bass entree was cooked to perfection. The graduate loved her Brazilian steak and still talks about it a week later. The carrot cake was the best we have ever shared! Be sure to order something from the bar, too!
