Spot on bruschetta! Wait staff was great and the chef came out to check on us. Had the crab cakes and they were fantastic. Bf had skirt steak and loved it. Salads were large and flavorful. Will be going there for all special occasions.
There are ffew better dining options in Morgantown. The steaks are fantastic, everything is fresh and well prepared and the sevice is top notch.
Just got back after a Valentine’s Day dinner. Our waiter, a gentleman named Chris, was simply amazing. He ensured that we had a terrific, memorable dinner. The appetizer – Calamari – was the best calamari I’ve tried. The house salads could have been better, but the homemade rolls and homemade butter made up for it. My date decided on the veal dinner. She was given a giant amount of veal, as well as excellent asparagus and a large portion of mashed potatoes. I ordered the seafood gnocchi. While not as large, the blend was made to perfection. Our wine was also a terrific choice. The meal was made great thanks to our waiter, who checked on us frequently. Great experience for a great night.
In regards to Teresa’s previous review, I would like to sincerely apologize on behalf of the Montmarte Restaurant. I am one of the bartenders there, and was recently informed of your experiences with us. The man you are referring to is both a server and front if the house manager. Neither myself nor the majority of the staff were aware of how these situations were handled, and I sincerely apologize for his improper behavior. We pride ourselves on our customer service and I’m deeply upset to hear that one of my coworkers failed to meet the expectations of our customers and restaurant. I hope that you do in fact decide to dine with us again, and if you do so please call ahead and ask to speak with either myself or Chris- we will personally make sure you are well taken care of. Great food. Had the strip steak and it was excellent as was the Ceasar salad. The place itself could use a little updating, but other than that i highly recommend.
MOST AMAZING THING EVER!. My fiance and I had our 2-year anniversary dinner at the Montmartre. We used a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate, but even without it our meal would have been worth every penny. Literally everything was delicious and looked amazing, from the bruschetta with its perfect but mysterious (at first) cheese and sauce and most amazing and tasty tomatoes ever, to the caesar salad (also: incredible!) and the strip steak. The dinner rolls and potatoes were amazing as well, and the cheesecake (though small and pricey) was perfect. I don’t like asparagus, but my fiance loved Montmartre’s. The waitress was pleasant.Summary: Expensive, but amazing.
Two thumbs up!. Great experience! We hadn’t really heard about Montmartre but we found a certificate through a perks program and decided to give it a try, and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, service was great, and an overall great experience. The calamari was awesome and I had the gnocchi with duck confit – also fantastic. We will definitely keep this on our minds when we want a nice dinner in a great setting.
