Very disappointed. This use to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants for years. I went there today and was very disappointed. The staff was very great and friendly, and the spinach artichoke dip was good as well. The burgers on the other hand, (which i get every time i go) were disgusting! I ordered mine medium and it was so pink and red that it was still bleeding. it also looked like the burgers had been frozen patties bought from walmart. I will not be going back after this experience 🙁
Good stuff!. Good food. Better than most bar food. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and I was nervous for the meals because it wasn’t too great. But my boyfriend loved his burger, he basically licked the plate. I also enjoyed what I got.. Basket of fries which are probably the best fries in morgantown and a gazpacho special off the biweekly menu. I will for sure return! Liked the beers, waitress was chill, all around good time.
Unfriendly Service. I am a frequent patron of the brew pub. Their food and beer are okay, nothing special. The fries are pretty delicious though. I mostly go for the lovely patio and because a lot of my friends go there. Service is hit or miss for sitting down and eating. Although there are a couple nice bartenders, there are a few people who (often) work the back bar that are rude to me nearly every time I’m there. For no reason. Occasionally when I’m out with someone they know, they’ll be completely different and actually friendly for once. It just feels a lot more pretentious than it used to be, and it isn’t worth it. If McClafferty’s had a patio, I’d never go to the brew pub again.
Our party had two appetizers, beers and the chefs salad. Salsa and chips: salsa had good fresh flavors but was thin and watery. Beer pretzel with beer cheese soup: great pretzel, beer cheese soup was thin and had weak flavor. Chef’s salad: generous portion, really good and fresh except for the grape tomatoes that were old and mushy. The Alpha Blonde Ale was sooooo good! Will be back to try more beer. Chelsea our server was awesome.
We had a very positive experience at Morgantown Brewing Company. The soups were delicious and well presented. The summer salad should become a regular menu item. Delicious and beautiful! Good beer, great food and attentive knowledgable service is a great combo! Everything went well until we had to wait for our check…downer!
Morgantown brewing company was very nice. The bartender named Brittany makes the best drinks, and is extremely nice. They have great, unique food, and have darts to play. I highly recommend this place.
