Excellent food and service. This is a great place for that special night out or entertaining for business. The menu changes seasonally, and for a small menu, really covers a good variety so that you’re sure to find something you’ll like. Everything is exceptionally prepared and presented, and quite simply delicious! Basically, they focus on doing a few things very well. Portions are generous, so even though prices are high, you will feel you got your money’s worth. The atmosphere is elegant, but not pretentious, and staff are well trained and attentive without being intrusive. You can ask questions about the food or wines and get a reliable answer.
Food is excellent! Great place to sit and relax and have a few drinks!
Way OVERPRICED. Way overpriced and to be honest, the sauces tasted out from a can. Sorry I tried to give you a better rating but it isn’t worthy.
One of the best meals i have ever eaten. The first time I went to Sargasso was chance. The meal and service were absolutely wonderful–one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The second time I went to Sargasso was by choice and I took my very well traveled sisters with me. All of our meals were delightful. My most traveled sister said that it compared very favorably to other restaurants in much larger towns. It is truly a dining experience!
Excellent!. When I visited Sargasso’s, I sat at the bar where I could view the the dinner service, kitchen operations, and quickness of bar service. I was clearly impressed withthe quality of all operations and how smoothly everything was organized. I had a couple appetizers that were out of this world. I know the next time I’m in Morgantown, I will definitely revisit Sargasso’s!
One of the best places in Morgantown! Do not miss it!!. Sargasso is one of my favorite restaurants in Morgantown! I would always highly recommend it as the food is consistently delicious and worth the price! We also recently held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Sargasso, with the assistance of Jeremy (a manager). The event went perfectly! Without us asking, our room for the event was upgraded. Classy menus were printed up, and the service was meticulous throughout the planning of the event and the actual event. The food, as always, was incredible. Many guests commented on how perfect the perfect salmon was. Thank you to Jeremy and Sargasso for such a wonderful night and for being part of our big weekend. You have a great chef, manager, and great servers!I would recommend the salmon, the filet mignon, the amazing cheesecake (with a great story!), and that’s just for starters! I eat at Sargasso every time I’m in Morgantown.
Dinner 6/26/13. My husband and I were visiting and were told this was an excellent restaurant. Nothing could be further than the truth! I ordered the Andulisian Strip Steak and it was approximately 65% fat. I requested medium and but it was rare. The potato side dish was cold. My husband had the salmon with a risotto. The salmon was undercooked and the risotto was also cold. For a $100+ dinner, my expectations were definitely not met. Sorry, but picturesque atmosphere is not worth the price tag.
