The food is tasty but portions are small for the price. The service left a lot to be desired! I don’t think I should have to chase down a waiter to get a drink refilled. The waiter brought our food and didn’t return until they brought the bill, didn’t bother to ask if we needed anything! I will return but unless wait staff improves, definetly not tipping 20%.

Delicious menu, great location and customer service. We stopped in on a whim to try this place out because we wanted to sit outside. Their deck is gorgeous. Clean, great view over the water, quiet, spacious. The waitstaff are polite, friendly, quick and knowledgeable about the menu. None of that chain-restaurant-nonsense.The food deserves a separate paragraph. First, the ingredients will do your body good. Freshest vegetables, and the steak cuts were fantastic too. The appetizers are very generous and consistently delicious, if a little on the spicy/savory side, which we happened to like. Never greasy or drowning in sauce or salt. Entrees go for quality and presentation and serving sizes are (gasp!) reasonable. The lunch sandwiches are nevertheless the size of your head, yet still delicious and even the bread is tasty. The desserts are varied and so creative. The bartender deserves his/her own medal. I have not had a Pimm’s Cup this delicious anywhere, holy slice of cucumber…. In summary, 10/10 all around, beautiful and quiet, not stuffy, and very affordable given the quality of ingredients alone, to say nothing of the cuisine. Great place for a date, to take your parents, or just lunch or drinks. We went back the next day. I really hope they stick around!!

Great food, but a little expensive. Best deal$ 4 lunch. Also, they underestimated their eating space. Room to have more than just 9 tables, plus a bar.

Light fare, just right. Table 9 has become my favorite restaurant in Morgantown, with very nice food, good service, and a bit of ambiance. The servings are just right for those not trying to add girth, and on a nice evening sitting outside along the river is a unique pleasure. Fish, meat, and veggy dishes are all well done. They have a rather short menu, but its all good. Even the desert sizes are such that you can indulge without feeling like a brick when you leave. Very nice.

Amazing!. The food was creative and delicious! Everything I had was perfectly balanced to offer delicious combinations of flavors and textures without sending you home feeling like an overstuffed sofa. A few notes, because I know the Morgantown area audience. Yes, portions are small. Yes, prices are expensive. The portions actually do make sense, though. You should expect to try something from all of the courses offered, so the small portions make it possible. I had the pork wontons as a first course, which were crispy and filled with shredded pork with a tasty sauce. Then the eggplant as a second course, with grilled cauliflower adding a firmer texture and flavor than eggplant alone can offer. Again, perfect sauces, not meant for drowning the food, but just adding some nice flavors. Don’t be afraid to swirl the food through those pretty sauces, they are not just decorations. This left me with just the right amount of room left to have a dessert. Popcorn pot de creme! It sounds odd, but I had to try it just because of that, and I’m so glad I did. How many times have you turned down dessert in a restaurant because you’re already so overstuffed from your main course, even when the desserts sound fabulous? Here, everything is perfectly portioned that by the time I finished the dessert, I was just pleasantly satisfied…wouldn’t want anything more to eat, but also wasn’t feeling like I needed to let out the waistline of my clothing. Now a note on atmosphere and service. My server was perfectly trained and perfectly attentive. He wasn’t popping over and interrupting excessively, but seemed to appear exactly when I needed something. He was familiar with the menu, able to offer assistance, and list items from memory. He was very professional, but not overly pretentious. The same can be said for the location itself. They actually haven’t changed too much since its last incarnation as The Wharf in terms of interior, which works really well to give the place a relaxed, modern feel. Classy, but not pretentious. They get it just right. I just really hope this place survives. That location has been jinxed in the past being in a spot that’s hard to notice from the road. So, if you’re looking for a place to take your business clients, or a date for a romantic evening, or to treat your best friend on their birthday, consider this place. The price point and atmosphere makes it somewhat of a place for special occasions and business dinners, but if you just enjoy amazing flavors, I’m sure you can find an excuse to eat there.

Quite nice. Table 9 might be trying slightly too hard to be trendy, but the service is generally excellent, and the food is good. Note that I’ve been there often for lunch, but never for dinner, so take that into account. They tell me that their bread is baked in town, and their meats and fish come from within WV when possible. The bourbon steak flatbread is a favourite of mine. The fish sandwich isn’t your usual cod, but is WV bass, and is tasty. The turkey sandwich came with real slices of actual turkey meat; (not lunchmeat or pressed meat) *EDIT: On a succeeding visit, the turkey sandwich was disappointingly made of lunch meat, but all else has remained excellent*. The salads are nice, with tasty dressing choices and fresh mixed greens. The menu seems to rotate some items in and out, and some items seem to be varied over time. For example, the chef may experiment with a different sauce on the veggies in a particular week/weeks. They’ve had a dessert of late that is spiced pear slices with a piece of almond brittle, and two scoops of vanilla ice cream made from almond milk. Get it while it lasts, vegans and lactose intolerant people! It’s yummy!
