Great Dinner. Dinner at the Bank started with a vegetable flat bread, which was loaded with grilled zucchini and cheese. I had a perfectly cooked NY strip steak and my husband enjoyed the salmon with pomegranate sauce which was not too sweet. We finished the meal with a delicious creme brle. We were there early on Saturday night and service was great. Will return soon.
A pleasant dinning experience.. Well price meals (between 10 and 17 dollars) and a huge drink selection. Next time I will try the cocktails. I had the house salad to start. Nothing note worthy. The entree was shrimp and grits and boy was it good. I have been searching for this ever since the Golden Finch closed. The decor was banker chic. There is a pool table too. We arrive at 7 pm on a Thursday and there was only one other table occupied. It did fill up later. Our server was VERY attentive. It’s better to err on that side so I am not dinging the rate for that. I am definitely going back. Too bad they are not open on Mondays but the restaurant biz can be tough so I hope that they make it.
Less Than Average. The atmosphere & space has improved over The Dancing Fig.Service at the bar was not good. The college kid bartender was more concerned with the WVU game on tv than our dining experience. She was quite clueless.Food was below average. NY Strip in the steak salad was full of fat…like every bite. The plate was only $13, so maybe I expected too much. However the steak salad at the Fishbowl, Kegler’s and Jamisons is far superior. (Much) better service at these joints too.Save yourself the frustration and pass on The Bank.
The drink menu has a wide variety of tasty beverages:) the food menu is small, and the options are very unhealthy:( so after a few drinks I left to go eat elsewhere.
The Bank at 344 High was fantastic! We were a little nervous when we noticed the menu was all entrees under $10 – worth every penny and more!! The pork belly tacos were amazing, the pot roast was cooked perfectly and the shrimp and grits were fabulous. This place is the whole package – plus the staff is extremely friendly!
