  Great Place. Took a chance based on reviews for a quick bite to eat…Loved it!! I had the italian sub/potato soup and my husband had the Philly and Chili!! Exceptional food, great service!! Tips are shared among the entire staff, including the cooks, which I thought was great in this day and time…If you get a chance, stop by and check them out!! We plan on making a 2 hour road trip just to stop there and eat in the future.

  Our favorite place in Parkersburg! ALWAYS great food! And the servers are always really nice and no matter how busy they are the food always comes really fast. Definitely recommend!

  Beer Batter Fries. My oh my these things ought to be against the law! They are out of this world d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! Anytime I have the opportunity to eat at Der Dog Haus you better believe an order of then is in my future. They are absolutely the bess I have ever had the chance to enjoy. Frankly, any of their sandwiches or burgers are also excellent too. You can’t go wrong here. Good service, good food, reasonable prices. Enough said.

  Ok place to grab a bite and a beer. Review for der dog haus 7.30.11:der dog haus is a small local pub with a decent atmosphere. It has 4 zones to sit in and we took a alcove between 2 of those zones. It was decent to sit in. not too many bad smells. Lower ceilings though so not good for really tall people or claustrophobes. However, the place was clean and comfy. We were greeted by a preppy, upbeat waitress that joked around with my husband’s dad. She was in a good mood. She attended to us pretty quickly. I ordered a cranberry juice, and a large salad with chicken strips, cheese, eggs, and bacon. It was pretty good and I didn’t have to wait too long to get it. It had plenty of chicken, cheese, eggs, and bacon on it. The lettuce was crisp and cool, the ranch dressing was the right mix as well. Husband ordered a large cheeseburger and waffle fries. He was happy with his meal. The consistency was great and they gave a lot of toppings, the meat was very thick. The fries had a good texture, he did try his dad’s beer battered fries and he loved them. Our waitresses were pretty responsive and very friendly. They joked around and seemed very personable. I’d say the service was good. AS for prices I will deduct a half a star because it was pricey my salad was 7.50 and hubby’s burger was approx 6.50. I cannot, however gauge the total, as my husband’s dad bought the dinner for us. I will give this place 4.5 stars.

  Great. The only problem I have with this place is it is hard to find a set and service can be slow due to popularity. The burgers I think are the biggest in the burg, the steak fries are perfectly fried. The various sandwiches are all great, I wish they had a few more desserts. Another plus of this place is the bar, pool table and keno machines.

  Another Great Hot Spot. When the weather is warm, it’s cool inside. This is more than a hot dog or burger shack… you can get a wide range of kitchen food and a cold brew to wash it down with.One of my favorites is the seafood salad, which is made in quanity each morning.An ample bed of lettuce with huge slices of tomato over generous scoops of seafood salad make this a summer staple.Of course, you can always have the foot long hotdog or the 1/4 lb or 1/2 lb burgers, but be warned, COME HUNGRY: These burgers are huge!Friendly, busy staff complete the atmosphere. You’ll find families and couples here as well as the counter single and take out any time they’re open.
