Okay went back one more time…never again! Bland, waiter couldn’t understand anything we said and my taco salad had like 2 lbs of flavorless boiled chicken. Not going back!10 Dec, 2012Decided to give it another try, under new management! Totally redecorated inside, clean! Had the chicken fajita taco salad, pretty good although the chicken was pretty watery. Will go back!04 Dec, 2012Worst Mexican in town! The hamburger in my taco salad was bloody still! Ick! No thanks! I’ll pass! Los agaves is just up the road, I’ll go there!
Take Out Order Disaster. Two of my friends and I ordered take out the evening of January 18, 2011. We called and placed orders for one Special La Casa Chicken, one Special La Casa Beef and one order of Chicken Fajitas. When we got the order home, there was only one Special La Casa dinner with one chicken and one beef burrito instead of two full dinners. Both were tasteless and so was the tub of salsa. The Fajitas were passable, but not the best we’d eaten. We don’t know what happend to this restaurant after the fire several years ago, but the food has certainly gone downhill. We hope they get their act together, because we used to love the food.
Chicken Fahita Quesidea. Nice portion, usually balanced amounts of rice, chicken, cheeze, onion, green peppers, sour cream and guak.
Great Food @ Great Prices. Gran Ranchero, the current manifestation of the original El Ranchero, continues to serve great food at great prices. After a trip to the Texas-Mexico border area, where we ate at numerous Mexican restaurants, we couldn’t wait to get back home to eat at Gran Ranchero. The taste tells the tale!
Authentic Mexican. Very good, reasonable price-A wide variety of combination platters.Fresh chips and salsa while you wait on your meal.Staff very friendly and polite.
OF ALL THE MEXICAN RESTAURANTS, GRAN RANCHERO IS BY FAR THE BEST!
