Excellent food.. Food was excellent and service could not be improved upon. My cup was never empty and food was promptly served. I live 75 miles away but never go to Parkersburg without eating at Colombos.
Unprofessional and Disappointing. I was shocked at the language and the service that was received as a customer when the owner used foul language and offensive mannerisms, very unprofessional and disappointing. Owner stated that he was overworked and that was to excuse his callous behavior. I did not feel like a customer but instead like he was burdened by customers and that they were not to be valued. I felt sorry for the man because he obviously needed a brake from his strenuous duties and to be away from the things that burdened him most: customers that ordered. I was further dismayed that the salad was brown and the chicken was dry. This made the customer that received it feels as though they were being punished and not sure why. I am truly sorry that this restaurant, which was a favorite growing up, has sunk so low.
Love. Went today for pizza and a beer with my husband. The pizza was fabulous, the atmosphere was lovely, and our server, Mary Dianne, was wonderful. We will definitely be back! I love this place. They have great food and great people. The pizza is awesome. I recommend Colombo’s to everyone. You have to stop by and see all the pictures of people who have visited.
AVOID THIS PLACE!. I don’t like to be a negative person, but there is absolutely NO REASON to visit this place. Dreary atmosphere and very disinterested staff. Poor service and horrible food. I mean horrible. I had fried calamari and it was beyond cruddy. The Veal Parmesan Sandwich was a grease soaked mess I couldn’t finish, all I could taste was grease. I guess people are crazy for the garlic bread? It was just greasy garlic salted white bread. This place might have been good in the past, but today it is beyond pitiful and the prices are way too high for the uninspired slop served here. Olive Garden is 100 times better than this dump.
I know the lasagna is made fresh daily.please try grilled chicken with peppers and onions.if one doesnt like garlic bread get italian bread.it is the garlic bread without the butter or garlic.also if there is something wrong with the food tell the waitress or who takes your money.
Quick seated, polite staff, food is dressed up pasta bar living off a reputation. I know Italian food well enough to know dressed up Stouffer’s lasagna. That was the kicker not worth the 62 bucks I paid. Only plus on the food was the mozzarella and the bread. This place needs to be on the Food Channel on Restaurant Impossible.
