Great place to go for food and drinks. I have been to Ruttenbucks so many times I can’t remember how many times and always have had great service great tasting food, really the food was awesome I have tried to find something bad on the menu but failed. This is maybe the only place I’ve ever been to that I can say everything on the menu is so good it’s hard to believe maybe but it’s true. Well I see people who live to piss people off go in there and keep in mind that the staff are human too so if you piss off anyone you are most likely going to get some sort of pissie type attitude back atcha but they handle the piss off people real good from all I’ve seen. Go and check them out.
First-Last. My first visit to this restaurant and will be my last. Do not go an hour before they close even on a Friday night because the food was terrible. Got steak and chicken, cold. Baked potato cold! Texas toast cold, paid extra for that. Service was horrible, the waitress was as cold as the food. Guess we picked the wrong night to go since I have seen other reviews on how great this place is. Wonder who these people are employees trying to make it look good. Oh, one more thing we didn’t even get the peanuts.
The reviews are def wrong on this place! I’ve been here several times and I’ve never had a bad meal! My husband loves the ribs and I crave the homemade Mac n cheese on Fridays! The staff is friendly and the food is great! I highly recommend it!
Save your money. I have dined at this restaurant three times, and every time I do, it is the same lousy service and mediocre food. As another reviewer said, they hardly acknowledge your existence when you walk in the door, and act like you are really putting them out when you ask to be seated. The most recent time we were here consisted of a wait time of over 1.5 hours. The food is sub par. My steak was way over cooked, but considering it took 45 minutes to come out after I ordered it, I just sawed through it. The prices are on the high side when you consider the overall appearance of the place. If you are in the area, drive right by. I have had better food and service at many other steak houses.
Well everyone I know who ever talked about this place raved about their ribs so…I had to try. Ehh they were very tough and too charred for my liking. Although the BBQ sauce wasn’t bad. It had a sweetness to it. Also tried one of their burgers at my waitresses suggestion. It was overdone. The inside of the patty was grey and I like my burger with some pink color to it. Too me, overcook any meat, and ot’s ruined. Also tried their pulled pork BBQ sandwich which was very good. Overall this place is a mixed bag for me…so far. Should have begun with it took about five minutes from when we walked in, on a weekday afternoon, until anyone noticed/cared to be bothered to seat our group. They wern’t busy and the bartender kept looking at us standing there but made no attempts to seat us. Guess she was too busy flirting with the three locals at the bar! Err whatever at least our waitress, once we were seated, was nice. She listened/answered all of our questions. Once again, a mixed bag. Anxious to read other peoples feedback. FYI: This place is a bit off the beaten path from Cabellas in West Virginia off I- 70. Hope that helps with location.
