WIsh I would have read the reviews!. I stopped at Atlas mid-afternoon on a weekday for coffee and it was obvious that I wasn’t welcome. I didn’t realize until after I ordered that they close at 4pm. It’s clear to anyone that has been there that the positive reviews were written by the owner – I actually laughed out loud when I read them!
Bad experience. My husband and I had a very bad experience here. Everything was overpriced for tiny portions. $6 for 3 grapes, 3 blackberries, 1/2 of an orange slice, a tiny muffin (obviously not homemade) and 3 oz of yogurt? Plus, that plate took 20 minutes to get to our table. Ridiculous! The fact that we had to wait out on the hot deck (which smelled like dead fish thanks to the adjacent river) didn’t make it any more pleasant. Also had a very condescending vibe from the hostess whom I took to be the owner. We will not be returning.
One of my favorite restaurants! In my experience, the owners are warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Fun live music on Friday nights and a great view of the Fox River make this a hidden gem. Skip showier neighbor (Fratello’s) and check out Atlas.
Don’t bother…. This is a terrible restaurant. The owner is rude and disrespectful. The atmosphere is cold. Please do not waste your time or your money here. There are many other worthy restaurants in the Appleton area.
