Price bumping. I have been eating at Galvans for years. Things have changed. They’ve taken some items that used to be part of a meal and started charging separately. Yogurt for example is used to be part of the quiche. They separated it and charge close to $2.00 for a very small dish. So the same meal items are not $2.00 more. Recently I ordered a veggie omelet and a banana without anything else. I ordered the identical items at a well respected nearby resturaunt. The price at Apple City was $3.00 less and it tasted better. Identical breakfast items for two people cost $25.00 plus at Galvans and $19.00 at the other Resturaunt.I discontinued going.

Menu is a joke and phone service sucks.. Let me start by saying I love local resturants. Usually, the food and the customer service is great, but NOT at Galvan’s. Looked up there menu online and found the actual website and menu. Called and got a person who cannot hear, and I mean Cannot hear my voice. I ordered the Mac and Cheese wedges for an appeatizer. Was told they do not sell them although clearly on their menu they state that the DO sell them. Fine. I am over it. But then when I order a Meatlof Sandwitch to go again, this person tells me no Meatloaf sandwitch is on the menu. I live within spitting distance of this resturant and have eaten there in the past with good results, but this is a complete slap in the face. If you are looking at this, Go to Mary’s Resturaunt on Richmond st instead of this place. Horrible service
Asked to leave. My sister in law met at Galvan’s on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We got talking and suddenly a man came up to us and asked us to leave (we were there 1 hr 35 min). He never introduced himself, we assumed he was the manager. He said they needed our booth. We both hurried to get our coats and leave, feeling badly for taking up the table. As we were putting our coats on, my sister in law said you aren’t going to believe how many tables and booths are open. Sure enough, I got up and looked around. Not only were there 3 open booths and 2 open tables, but NO ONE was even waiting to be seated. We totally understand taking up a spot and shouldn’t have stayed that long IF someone was there to actually sit in our spot. My sister-in-law was actually watching so that wouldn’t happen. However when a spot isn’t needed, we are lied to, and the manager didn’t introduce himself, that’s just plain bad business and we will not be going back there.
More food than you can eat!. Great portion sizes – HUGE omelets. A diverse array of dishes and a friendly, courteous staff. It’s not large or fancy but clean and cozy. Recommended!
