Excellent. My wife and I were in town traveling on Christmas Eve. One of those business days when most employees are thinking of other things. Not so at this establishment. The pizza at the Glass Nickel was awesome and the service was even better. Friendly and Inviting to say the least. Really appreciated. Not sure what other pizza places in Appleton have to offer but we will always be at the Glass Nickel when in town and craving pizza.
Super nice staff. Small Greek Salad could’ve been a meal by itself. Calzone was very tasty.
The better pizzas around. The dough is what makes this pizza good. I normally eat thin crust pizza since all thicker crusted pizzas beforehand have never appealed to my culinary senses of texture and taste but after braving a pan pizza from here, I’m a convert to the typical pan pizza fiasco of many–a pan pizza fan exclusive only to this joint, however! They have the ingredients in the crust mixed to a science. It’s chewy (by comparison it reminds me of a soft pretzel) and the crust holds the toppings well. They have more of a better variety of toppings to build your own pizza than I’ve seen before in other joints and are excellent about what you want on your pie. Order a side of marinara to dip the edges of the crust in instead of throwing it out! you will want to eat all of it! Until a another pizza joint comes along that can top Glass Nickel, I’ll only order from here now. Crust and all, this place creates some pretty good pizzas! Well worth your money!
Great Lasagna. Love this place for it’s Lasagna, garlic bread, subs, pizza, etc! Portion size is PLENTY and tastes good. The staff have always been friendly as well. I would recommend it to anyone!
Yum! Best pizza I have found so far. Recomend the BBQ pizza. And when their not busy, they will deliver to me and I live on the edge of little chute.
Thanks for going gluten free. I used to love their pizza, it was heaven to me. Especially the Fetalicious pizza. A year ago I was diagnosed with gluten issues, and so pizza was off my menu. This past summer Glass Nickel started to make a gluten free crust, it’s pretty decent BUT does not goes well with the Fetalicious because it contains too much ‘texture’ then. I tried it again as a simple peperoni and olive and it was delicious. My main complaint is that they offer no other gluten free items on the menu, no appetizers or deserts that are gluten free. Plus, the pizza is pretty expensive for what you get. So, it’s not a diet staple for us, maybe a once-a-year thing.
Super pizza. Was pleasantly pleased to bit into what reminds me of a New York pizza. Soft, chewy pizza dough with just the right amount of cheese and fixins’ and sauce that was awesome! We had the thin crust. The spicy sauce was knockin’ my husband for a loop – he loved it. We ate there and the waitstaff was uber friendly and the service was superb. There is also a bar/dining area that has umpteen nickels on the bar (in the formica) but we ate in the just dining area with our son. We went back for take out a week later and tried the regular sauce/pepperoni and also the fetalicious. Both delish! Best part about take out is that they offer ‘par baking’ which is 1/2 cooked so all you do in slap them in the oven for 10 mins when home at 400 degrees. Since I had to drive a ways and had to make a stop on the way home from work, I didn’t want the pizza to get cold or get over cooked if I reheated it once home. Worked out like a dream!
