Loyal customer. I’ve bragged about and come to Sal’s for years. They are clearly the best pie in town. However, I was deeply discouraged after my phone call to them this morning. The person answering the phone not only rushed through answering my questions, he rushed me off the phone by hanging up on me mid sentence. I’m sorry if I frustrated him by asking if they can accept tax exempt for a school incentive. I’m sorry he hung up on me for asking if I can get a certain flavor in an individual slice for a student. My student who earned Sal’s worked for a full quarter to order Sal’s because he absolutely loves it. I’ll still order his pizza from there today, but I am deeply discouraged. If he treats loyal, returning customers like this, how does he treat everyday people who stop in or call to inquire?
Best in Downtown. I’ve been to just about all the pizza restaurants (restaurants in general, much less) in Downtown and I can easily say this one is the best. This is my go-to place when I am downtown. Great pie for the value…. recommend this to anybody! It’s a one-of-a-kind establishment.
I’m a New Yorker and I LOVED it!. I’m a transplant from NY, and I’ve been searching for good NY style pizza since I moved to Wisconsin. I had pretty much given up hope when someone suggested I try Sal’s in Appleton. I decided to start simple and I got a cheese slice with mushrooms. I LOVED it! It was so incredibly close to the pizza I grew up on in NY…great crust, fantastic sauce, everything. The service was fine and it wasn’t too crowded, especially for a Saturday night. I need to find out how far they will deliver!
