Went to the lunch time buffet. Good service and good food. The selection is plentiful and it looks like they might have a daily change on one or two of the choices on the buffet. Prices right, I’ll be returning.
Casual North Indian Dining in Appleton. Tonight was our first dinner at Taj Mahal, and we will visit again.The bartender made a mean brandy old-fashioned, and the happy hour price on a Tuesday night was under $5.00.We ate in the lounge, rice, lamb curry, and palak paneer with plain naan and raita. We ordered the curries mild, since it was our first visit You could tell that chef had toasted whole spices, ground them, and made the masala fresh – it wasn’t curry from a jar. The tandoori naan was soft, toasty, and buttery, just like it should be. The menu includes good, plain, no-frills North Indian cuisine as well as American family restaurant favorites. The American menu options differentiate Taj Majal from the other Indian Restaurants in Appleton. This is a place where a diverse group of people can dine together, and everyone can order something they will like. Service was fast and friendly.The atmosphere was casual, and the decor is unusual – it feels like a few Indian touches have been put up in a neighborhood family Friday fish fry place with an attached sportsbar – probably because that’s exactly what happened.

But I felt compelled to review this one -I have ordered a wide range of varieties that include – Appetizers of all kind, Main Entrees…Worst possible Indian food…Please do yourself a favor by not wasting your money there.
