Went with my girlfriend… I had the volcano chicken, she had the evil jungle prince. I really liked both of our dishes. I thought my finely sliced chicken was a wee overcooked, but the breading and sauce more than made up for it. I would order the same entree again. Definitely want to try more of their menu to see what other tasty dishes they have.
Surprised at the amount of positive reviews. Let me start this review off with two disclaimers. One, my wife and I love Basil Cafe – another Thai-based restaurant in the area. Two, we went here on a Sunday night (St. Patrick’s day no less), so our experience certainly might not reflect a typical day. That being said, I’m stunned that this place is getting any positive reviews, let alone the praise it receives from others.The food, by and large, was very subpar. The Thai Iced Tea was virtually undrinkable. The main courses were, at best, mediocre with little flavor. I turned the heat up on mine, which helped tremendously, but still did not do enough to overcome the frozen fish taste. My wife’s noodles were severely under cooked. Our visiting guests did not finish either of their meals either. Again this was one visit, but they went 0 for 4 on the meals and served two horrible drinks.Not to say there weren’t some positives. I found the waitress to be very good, especially considering it was a Sunday night. The crab rangoon was tasty and actually had crab flavor in it as opposed to just cream cheese. Finally, they do have a relatively expansive menu, so there are at least options. Overall though, we were not impressed and will probably not be heading back here any time soon.
Authentic Thai at its best. Having spent over 2 years living in Thailand I can say this food is authentic. I have eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in the U.S. and this one is my favorite. The owner is from the Northeast (Isaan) region of Thailand and they are especially good at those dishes. My favorite is their Larb, (pronounced lop) a minced chicken or pork salad dish that is truly outstanding with sticky rice. Their Pad Thai was also spot on which is really hard to find in the U.S.
Excellent. I’ve tried many Thai restaurant, but Taste of Thai tops them all. I love the Duck Mussamum curry there even though it’s not on the menu. The great thing about Taste of Thai is that they will accommodate to you as a customer and that is something I really appreciate. Taste of Thai is number 1 for Thai food in my book.
Greatest Thai Food In the Fox Cities!. Taste of Thai has great authentic Thai food and at a great price. The food is always served with the freshest ingredients that enhances the flavors. I tried Thai food all over and this place hit’s home and my stomach! :)I recommend trying the curry dishes but there are always many dishes that I could easily call my favorites.
Don’t let the decor deceive you…. The food here is outstanding. Personal favorite is the Pud Prig King ( chicken in a spicy peanut sauce with fresh green beans). Have never had a bad meal here in many trips and would recommend to anyone who likes spicy food!
Great Thai food at a very reasonable price! You can definitely split the entrees too.
