Good Laab. Having come from a southeast asian background where Thai, Laotian, and Vietnamese influenced cooking runs deep in my roots, I have yet to find a Thai restaurant around here that will dare go all out authenticLike many Thai restaurants in the area, too many of the dishes in this restaurant are not completely authentic. There’s always at least one ingredient missing or ingredients added that normally doesn’t belong to a dish in the name of ‘authenticity’. Like usual, they are mainly westernized dishes to appeal to the palates around this side of the world. The nice thing about this place is that the staff will make their Laab dish as close to home-made authentic as possible with as much of the ingredients they have available to make the ‘real’ dish for me upon my request. They will do it every single time I call here to order it. For their service, this place is great.

Taste of Thai has great Duck!!. If you have never been to a Thai restaurant before and wants to explore the food, this restaurant will be an excellent choice. First of all, I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in a rush or anyone who isn’t patient; because sometimes, it does take a while for the food to be prepared(depends on the entree you ordered) but it is worth the wait. This is a great place to have long conversation meeting up with families and friends. Like I mentioned earlier, if you expect fast service, wants to eat and get out as soon as you can, then this is not the right restaurant for you.The salads Taste of Thai offered are very authentic. They are not the regular salads we eat everyday and it does take some time to be prepared. I’ve tried the yum nuah, which is a salad of sliced beef mixed with cilantro, green onions, tomatoes, and cucumber. It sounds like a simple dish but the sauce was perfect. It’s an awesome dish and was worth the wait! Taste of Thai also have a spicy scale of 1-5. If you love spicy, they can make it beyond 5! I’ve tried a 3 and it was already too spicy for me.I recently went there and finally made up my mind to try the Duck curry and I have to admit it.. it’s the best duck dish I’ve had so far. You cannot go there and not try it. By the way, don’t forget the Thai beers :)So far so good. Just got my Taste of Thai reward card punched out twice. After the 10th one, I get an entree order up to $15 for free! Cannot wait!
