Worst sushi in town.. Worst place to go for sushi. I have been there 5 different times each showing very poor quality food dry and not handled well. IF YOU LIKE SUSHI THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO.
Went here on a Friday night. Husband and I were seated promptly but the dinner rush was slowing down. We ordered an 8 piece sashimi which was excellent as an appetizer. For an entree, we shared Seafood Tamarind. I didn’t taste much tamarind, but it was VERY good nonetheless.
Appleton TJ’s. I think that the service is amazing,I think the food is fantastic. My fiancee and I go there all the time and it’s always very romantic. Keep up the good work Tj’s! 🙂
Great Food and Service. I was surprised to read all the comments about poor service. A group of us go there frequently as one friend is vegan and she can always eat well here. The food is great and we have always had terrific service.
Good Food… Awful Service. I have been to TJ’s several time over the last 2 years. I think the service gets worse everytime. Manager is rude and does not take customer complaints seriously. Staff is painfully slow. Waited 30+ minutes for our wine last time we were there. Finally came AFTER our food. There are so many good sushi and hibachi places in the valley go someplace else!
Absolutely the worst dining experience ever.We waited 45 for a table. Once we were seated the waitress took1/2 the tables’ order then forgot the other half. Our appetizers never arrived. She never took our drink order. The hibachi chef showed abd realized we never got appetizers, drinks, soup or salad after sitting 30 min. Manager brought drinks but did not apologize. Soup/salad arrived with dinner. Took forever to get the bill , then it was wrong because she put the entire table on the same check even though we were multiple parties. We asked her to split it and she disappeared for another 15 minutes. We had to go to the hostess stand to get our bill. The manager offered to comp the appetizers which we pointed out we didnt get. She offered $10 off the next visit but we ARE not goung back. We got there at 530, got food at 7 and the bill at 830. Staff/ manager horriblely rude.
Great food, Terrible service. I’ve eaten here probably 10 times the past 2 years. I only keep coming back because the food is so good, but my last experience was the final straw. I was with a group of 10 for hibachi for a friend’s birthday dinner. The hibachi chef was great! However (very long story short) our server was AWFUL. It took 25 mins for our drinks, he never asked us what kind of rice we wanted (we all got white automatically), and never brought half of our party’s appetizer sushi orders. One of my friends mentioned she never got her sushi and asked that he could take it off the bill because she was already done with her dinner and full. We then waited FORTY FIVE MINUTES for our bill. I am not exaggherating. Finally, we got the attention of a different server and asked to speak to the manager. THIS IS THE KICKER – our server FINALLY brought out the bill when he saw we were talking with the manager — he was obviously very angry and literally RAN to our table and immediatly starting making accusations that we never even ordered sushi, etc etc. He literally yelled at us! I could NOT believe it! I’ve never had a more terrible customer service experience. And the manger was also rude. After some begging, she took myfriend’s sushi order that she never even recieved off of her bill. I thought we’d possibly get some sort of discount on our bill – even a small percentage off, but nothing. I will never go back.
