Best Cannoli I’ve ever had.. I grew up in NJ. My father is a New Yorker. So I know what good Italian food is. I have to say this place has the best Cannolis I’ve ever had. And growing up in the tri-state area I’ve been spoiled. The pizza here is great too. I have to say it can stand to be a little more crispy. However, the NY pizzeria smell and taste is there. I saw a few negative reviews about the pizza being burnt. So I’m left to wonder if that is the reason the crust isn’t as crispy as I’d like it.
Good? Yes. New York pizza? Umm…. My wife and I like the pizza served up at Sgambati’s. But here’s a clue: no brick oven, no New York pizza. That said, the pizza here is very good, and I’m saying that as someone who came to Green Bay from the pizza Mecca of Providence. The flat sliced sausage is tasty and adds a farmland vibe to the meats. The mozz is good quality, expected in Cheesehead Central. The huge stuffed pizzas are brushed with an egg wash and come out of the oven shiny like a great stuffed pretzel. The crust of those eats like a soft pretzel too. This is a good thing. There are a number of other entrees that are really good here, like a tortellini dish that is fantastic. If I were the owner I would be constantly trying to make each menu item special, and like just about every restaurant in the world, Sgambati’s sometimes rests on its current formula. We’ll keep coming back for the tremendous amount Sgambati’s gets right. Can’t think of a pizza joint in the Fox Valley I like more overall, though there are some I like just as well. If you live in GB then eventually you’ll find yourself here. I think you’ll like it.
Not really. Went there and had a slice . Nice place but the pizza was pretty bad. Didn’t even finish it . Just dry and flavorless . Reminded me of a slice of expensive frozen pizza reheated. The bar looked nice.
Awesome new tortelli Gorgonzola pest pizza in town
Bad Pizza. I am originally from New York and has had NY pizza all of my life. This place does not even come close to what New York pizza is. In fact, if this guy started a pizza restaurant in NY he would be out of business within 6 months. I know this place got good reviews but 90% of his customers have never been to NY and dont really know how NY pizza is supposed to taste like. Take a look at the picture that I took. Would you really eat that? They put extra cheese to cover up a burn spot on the pizza.
The closest I’ll get to authenic New York pizza right here in Green Bay. Those garlic knots are positively addictive!
Tasty!. I’ve had their pizzas, garlic knots, and wings, and loved every bit of it. Prices are actually very good. If you get the 18 inch pizzas, they are quite large. ONLY complaint I have with this place is that I’m a sausage pizza lover, and their sausage is weird…instead of the normal sausage you’re used to seeing it’s basically sausage cut like a pepperoni…which is fine, I just can’t enjoy it…it’s even greasier than the pepperoni and just doesn’t taste right. Don’t get me wrong, I love this place, and I continue to go there, I just don’t get their sausage on my pizza.
