YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Good reviews had breakfast. If you go here certainly stick with that. The dried up frozen nuked beef? on the Italian was GROSS and the bun not dipped but nuked making it mushy soggy. EWWWWW. Tried to stand in line to get a refund or something else and the snarky guy said there was nothing wrong with it and I would have to wait and talk to the owner. You GOT my $7.00 this time. Enjoy, it will cost you in reviews and word of mouth at a large office travels fast.
One of My Favorites. I used to come here regularly with an old boyfriend and it is still one of my favorites. This place has the best tuna sandwiches I’ve ever eaten! I also have a partiality for the Paul Bunyan breakfast bowl and the boyfriend really liked their soups, especially Hungarian stew. Ruby G’s is very cozy and provides games, books, and computers with internet for their customers, fostering a desire to sit for hours and order cup after cup of Alterra coffee. I still enjoy coming here to play chess (they also have checkers) sit and read by the fireplace, or study.
Breakfast rocks!. Update on my previous review: I ordered 10 breakfast wraps (what we would call breakfast burritos back home) to take to a morning meeting at work. They were excellent and a big hit with everyone! I called in the order ahead and they were ready to go when I got there. We’ll definitely do this again.29 Mar, 2011Tucked away cozy cafe. Serving breakfast and lunch to Marquette students and other locals, this cozy cafe invites you to stay with its deep-seated leather sofas, chess/checker boards and internet stations. If you didn’t know it was here, you might not notice it as the exterior is fairly subdued. Once inside, you order at the counter and they bring your meal to you. Service is quick and friendly. Breakfast wraps and something called a ‘Paul Bunyan Bowl’ look intriguing. Lunch is sandwiches, soups and a few specials each day. I’ve not tried breakfast yet but the sandwiches are quite good – my (heaping) tuna salad sandwich had crunchy pumpkin seeds, finely diced red onion, fresh lettuce and tomato. They also serve Rishi teas, smoothies, hot cider and a few other specialty drinks. It’s a little more out-of-the-way than some other lunch opportunities near my office but it’s worth the trip.
