Weird experience. I really like Bay View. I eat at several of its restaurants and shop in its stores. and was excited to try Babes. My friend and I wanted to try the vegan ice cream. There were two employees behind the counter. One of them asked for our order. My friend asked for a chocolate shake, but before I could order the raspberry ice cream cone I wanted, the girl turned away to make the shake. Weird. Then after the she made the shake, she asked if I knew what I wanted. Who does that? Who takes orders one at a time? I do not go into a restaurant with someone, order a hamburger, and then make my dining companion wait to order until my food comes out. And I have never seen that happen at an ice cream parlor either, until now. It was just weird. Maybe I am old fashioned, but one does not literally turn one’s back to a customer who wants to order. I chose to get nothing rather than give them more of my money.I had a few sips of the shake, and it was very good. I will probably go back. Maybe she did not know what she was doing, and I will get a better employee next time.

Great, unusual flavors of ice cream including black licorice! Just call before you go because they do close for part of the winter.
We all scream for Ice Cream!. What a wonderful addition to Bayview. An old fashioned Ice cream shop with some yummy additions like Ice Cream Cakes. Delicious cones!
VEGAN ICE CREAM!. As a vegan, I can not tell you how nice it is so nice to be able to go to an ice cream store and get a scoop of some beautiful soy ice cream. I love this place!
