Unimpressed. The food was mediocre – not bad, but nothing to write home about. The beef in the philly was really chewy, the falafel was fairly dry. Asian slaw was awesome though. Pretty meh over all.

Beer and sanwhich. Great beer selection and decor, had the asian turkey burger, the sauce was sweet and tangy, cucumbers provided the perfect crunch, homemade chips and asian slaw that comes with all sandwiches

Like it but food is always inconsistent. We really like Cafe Lulu mainly because its so close to where we live and the atmosphere and service is always nice. But the most consistent thing about Cafe Lulu is the guaranteed inconsistency of their food. Its never been bad so we keep going back. But it ranges from fair to great. Hate the Asian slaw today? Don’t worry, it will be delicious next time you visit. Like the tuna steak this visit? It will probably be overcooked but fair the next time. I tried their bleu cheese dip once and it was runny and vinegary, but I think I’ll try it again next time and maybe it will turn out to be as good as it sounded on the menu. Last night the Asian slaw tasted like it had no dressing and was all peanuts. It was edible and I’m not one to make an issue of things so I ate it, and I know that next time I go, it will be SOMETHING delicious again, whether it turns out to be familiar or new tasting, who knows? We’ll continue going back but just never know what to expect.

I’ve been here many times and they never disappoint. Today I got their special, fish tacos, and they were delicious. Their standard sides, asian slaw and homemade chips, are good enough to merit a thumbs up alone. You will enjoy it.
