Dry, overly sweet cake. I ordered a round birthday cake – yellow cake with buttercream icing. The cake was dry, icing was way way too sweet and did not taste buttery at all. I was very disappointed. That being said, some of my guests loved the super sweet icing, I just wouldn’t define it as buttercream. I really want to love this bakery b/c it’s a throwback to the euro bakeries I grew up with in the Philadelphia, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again.
Please do NOT buy cakes from this bakery. I paid for a cake & the owner threw it away because I didn’t pick it up on time. All she could said I can’t do anything for you. If she would have told me on the one phone call she left me, I would have arrange a way to get my cake and not drive to her store to find out. Very disappointed! Again I paid upfront. No refund, no credit or a cake. My daughter was very sad.
