I was in Milwaukee on the great south-side bay view area. I was dying for a great hamburger. I found hamburger Mary’s. Set down at a booth and the first thing I had to do was to ask a waiter to really clean the tabletop. The top head dirty crusty stuff on it last night service. Well strike one let’s MoveOn. I ordered their sliders and a bowl of chili. The sliders came out and they just didn’t look like a really wanted to get into them. I took off the top of the bun to see how juicy they were. They looked like they were sitting inside of the dehydrator. Oh well strike two. So I went to grab the ketchup bottle and it slipped out of my hands because there was so much grease on it. Oh well strike three. I placed my paper napkin around it and put some on my slider. I went for that big bit on this slider and I felt like a piece of cardboard was placed between the roof of my mouth and my tongue. Oh well working on the second out. Now for the chili which was so thick that my spoon stood up. Well that was not a good thing. This chili must have been 6 days old and the chef must understand that a good chili isn’t made up of a hand full of cumin and paprika. Not good experience-big mistake.
My name is seth. I was here for the dinning with with divas on 2-1-2014. We got charged $21 for a service charge. Our waiter was SHITY. Our food didn’t come out at least and hour later and when we were ready to order or need something extra we caught him talking in the back. Finally I yelled can I get some help or what? Then he finally came but didn’t come to clear our plates till we went n got him. This is very POOR waitering. Then when I asked the manager that we had poor service he said it was for entertainment but was for the waiter he also said we pay for theentertainment and not the service. I saw other waiter working better than mine. I have been a waiter for three years and have ALWAYS watched my tables carefully and made sure my costumers and their food came first! This place needs better service along with their good entertainment not just one or the other. That’s pathetic and annoying..
Have been there multiple times. Every time they have given someone in my party the wrong side dish or have forgotten to put the cheese on the cheeseburger. Is it that hard?
Had a great time at Hamburger Mary’s on Saturday night. We went for the show, not the food, so can’t comment on food, but the show, service and drinks were fabulous! Kristina (hostess) was great, really helped our group as we didn’t have a reservation (you definitely should make reservations, lesson learned!!). Had so much fun, will be back for the show again and also to try the food.
Great!. Second time there for lunch. will for sure go back. Great burgers, great, service. It was fun. Everyone seemed to talk to everyone. Met some nice people, who we plan to meet up with again.
Interesting Experience. Visited HM’s last night. Sat out on the patio and it was perfect. Listening to the Mary-oke was fun. The hubby enjoyed your selection of local brews and my cherry rum punch was great. Wasn’t too keen on getting the triple play tater skins for an appetizer but the Mr. had his heart set on them. I’m glad I let him talk me into them. The mac n’ cheese one was awesome, I wasn’t in the mood for chili but that one was good as well. I’d have to say the pulled pork was my favorite. All three were very interesting, none the less! I ordered the Queen Mary burger and the hubby got the Barbara-Q. We both ate every bite! Big, sloppy, delicious- just how a burger should be. Thank you for putting a big ol’ knife in there too! It’d be almost impossible to pick up as is. Upgraded to sweet potato fries and cheese dip for a side. Would probably stick with regular fries in the future, but still enjoyed the meal very much. Nick, our server, was nice and knowledgeable and playfully teased us about our indecisiveness when it came to the menu. Thought the fact that the bill came in a pump was hysterical. Will definitely be visiting again soon…. I must try the fiesta burger!
Proud of Mary. A trip to hamburger Mary’s last week turned out to be a good choice. 1/2 lb. juicy burgers were what we got on our visit. The Queen Mary and The Guacamole BJ (bacon and Jack cheese) were cooked perfect and tasted great with our sides of Ta-Ta’s(tater tots). Full bar, and nice selection of apps and desserts help round out this menu which includes about 10 or 12 different burgers. Also a nice patio to enjoy. The only drawback….. and I hate to include this for what was agreat meal was when leaving we could not help but smell the strong unpleasant smell comming from the restrooms without either door being open. Maybe an air freshener and a good hose down will fix this. But do not let this keep you away, great burgers!
