Seemingly this place needs no introduction. A borderline fine dining experience, at what amounts to a deceivingly basic bar. I had the rare feeling that I got MORE value than what I paid. Recommend the salads and their rotating selection of pastys. I had their rhubarb pie as well. And again the quality was something akin to a fine dining experience. Honeypie is a Bay View institution. And unquestionably one of the best meals I’ve had in months.

Went on a Friday night. Had the breaded cod, it was flavorless, as was the apple slaw. The fries were soggy and stuck together in a big chunk. The cornmeal muffin was the only good part. The other person who had the fish said the same thing. To top it off it was pretty pricey for a bad fish fry. The other two people in our party also disliked their meals. On the plus side the waitress was friendly, and did good for how busy it was. Also, one person had cherry pie that looked great, and she said it was. I would go back for dessert, and skip dinner.
