The spring rolls are a great pairing with the peanut sauce. As any good Vietnamese restaurant worth their salt they have several vegan choices. I have never had to up my pho to the big bowl since I am barely able to finish the normal size. Prices are a bit high, but well worth it for the ambiance.
My favorite!!!. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always great!!
Service tends to be on the slow side. Not sure why that is. The food is pretty good. Crab Rangoon is tasty with a kick. Decent pho. They have had good crab specials. The basil smash cocktail is very good. The deserts need work. The prices have gone up since they first opened.
Not impressed. Nice cozy little place but If you want real Vietnamese food, don’t go here. I know because I am Vietnamese. Waitress was nice and pleasant but I don’t think she is knowledgeable about the food she serves. I had Co’m thi.t Nuong. The pork chop was as white as snow and it tasted like a little salt sprinkled on top before grilling. No flavor whatsoever. Then there is the iced coffee. The waitress brought me the coffee already in the ice with the condense milk on the side. I told her the hot coffee should be in with the condense milk and a glass of ice on the side. That way the hot coffee help melts the condense milk into the coffee and then the mixture to be added to the ice. She told me that’s how they always serve the iced coffee. I learned something new considering I’ve been drinking ice coffee for over 20 years. Well you be the judge. The only thing that tasted right was the bubble tea. I’ve eaten many Vietnamese restaurant around Milwaukee and by far this is the worst. It’s also expensive.
It’s a nice atmosphere and their menu is pretty intriguing, however I have found that it is mediocre as far as authenticity, and the prices are very high for what u get. It’s good for when you don’t want cheap Chinese, but it is definitely pricier!
Unfortunate experience. Service was very slow. I ordered a diet coke and my date ordered a water. 10 minutes later, she came back with two waters an no diet coke. Hmm. I thought about walking out, wish I would have, it only got worse from there…..I ordered beef and meatball noodle soup. Food came out, and it was not what I ordered. She brought me chicken soup, so I had to sit there and wait for the correct order while my fianc ate his food. Finally, the correct order came out and it was clear that they just took out the chunks of chicken from the wrong order and threw in beef and meatballs. That would have been fine, buuut the meatballs were still cold in the middle. Eew. I just sucked it up and ate it. It was a bad experience and a waste of money. Will not go back
One of Our Favorites. Hue is one of our favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. From the ambiance to the food, everything is executed very well. The Beef Bun and Vegetarian Pho are always on the top of our list to order. Also, don’t forget to order the donuts for dessert! If you go on the weekend, reservations are highly recommended!
