Super Fun Super Food. We wouldn’t think of a trip to Milwaukee without a night at Los Paisa. Take your pick, seafood enchiladas, vegie-fajitas or tamales. It’s all GREAT. K & K2, Roanoke Virginia
Fabulous food, great service and better prices. This little place is a gem. The decor is bright and beautiful with a little bit of everything that I love about Mexico. The table side guacamole is a must. Not a lot of showmanship or the prices that go with it–just fresh ingredients. The camaron a la diabla was wonderful with just enough heat. The house margaritas were wonderfully done-ask for half salt/no salt. The kids menu had ample enough portions to keep my kiddos happy. Best of all, my kiddos happily practiced their Spanish with someone other than mom but conversing with their server. The whole experience made for a great evening out.
A treasure. Visiting from Connecticut found this gem and always come here when in the area.Best margaritas and authentic food.
Good and cheap. Good cheap Mexican food. Starts with chips Pico, salsa, bean dip, and then well portioned entrees. Go early the place is small and gets busy.21 Jul, 2013Good cheap Mexican food. There are places with better, but then you would be paying much more.
Perfect Escape!. Every time I come here, I have been treated well, served what I ordered, had a great time from start to finish, and have had amazing food. I don’t get seafood. I don’t come when it looks super busy. I bide my time and come here when I know I want basic Mexican food done perfectly. This is a small establishment, and therefore won’t be able to get the freshest or most flavorful seafood. And when this place is packed, the service and quality will suffer. This is not a chain restaurant, and I refuse to treat it as such! But if you want to find this place as amazing as I do, give it a chance to do what it does best: offer you a cozy seat, give you an ideal place to talk and eat, and have delicious food. My favorite little taste of Mexico!
Unremarkable, bland. On my first visit to Los Paisa, I was impressed that the guacamole was prepared with fresh ingredients at the table. I also like the quiet, cozy atmosphere in the bar area. I shared the guac and a bottle of wine with a friend, and looked forward to returning for a full meal based on this experience. Unfortunately, subsequent visits did not meet the expectations of authentic Mexican or even Tex-Mex fare set by that first experience. The food and service were satisfactory but not in any way remarkable. Our entrees were surprisingly bland. There are much better Mexican dining options in the Milwaukee area – although for the most part they are south of downtown. This might be a good choice for folks who prefer a watered-down version of Mexican food and it seems to be family friendly. It’s just no longer an option for me.
Best Mexican North of the Border. Tonight was my first experience at this superbly authentic Mexican Restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated in the comfortable dining room. From the moment we tasted the house-made tortilla chips, salsa, and bean dip we all knew we were in for a gourmet dining experience. I ordered the shredded beef taco, cheese enchilada, and chile relleno and had my very first flavor explosion. The rest of the table enjoyed the quesadillas, Steak special of the day, and soft tacos and it was unanimous……FANTASTIC!I am visiting family from California and can’t wait to come back to eat here again, I am used to enjoying very good authentic Mexican food but this establishment beats every single one I have ever enjoyed. Kudos and thank you Los Paisa!!!Ross Riedel and the Miller Family
