HORRIBLE. I will never go back… We stopped in last weekend for a quick bite…. I was appalled to see a small flat top grill, and MICROWAVES! The dining room was so gross… dirty dishes on every empty table…. and they had been there awhile. I had to move dirty dishes to get a place to sit. We both ordered a hot sandwich, my husbands was COLD, even after watching it come out of the microwave. He went to return it and they asked if he wanted it warmed up! She refunded our money, and gave us a 5.00 coupon which we left there, since we won’t ever return.
This place is awful. The system sucks, you have to decide what you want and get rushed. The people making the food look miserable.. And dont get the taco salad because its a disgrace to your $6.99. I ate sour cream and tomatoes for lunch. I will not be coming back.
This is one of my favorite places to eat for lunch. I was going to look at my new place in Milwaukee and we saw this place and decided to check it out. I am very glad we did. Now that I have moved here I have been craving it so badly. And the bread and the salad and specially there amazing strawberry rhubarb pie was to die for!!!!

Favorite Lunch Spot. This restaurant has been around for a long time, and for good reason. All of their soups and pies are made from scratch on site, and they have a wide variety of breads to choose from. The Salamagundi, their wonderful version of a chef’s salad, is just delicious. All of the sandwiches and soups that I’ve had over the years have been marvelous. And dessert? WOW. My most recent trip included the Kentucky Derby Pie for dessert, and what a finish to a delicious lunch. The bonus is that we can ALL eat there now because they offer gluten-free bread for the one family member that has celiac disease. Thanks, Loaf & Jug!
Very cute, very homey. I especially love this place for lunch on those blustery fall and winter days, but it’s great all year round as well!
