This restaurant fires kitchen employees who have the good sense to go home when vomiting instead of staying sick and cooking YOUR food. Good to know that they not only violate employment laws, but put their patrons at risk of getting sick as well! Not to mention the poor management practices this represents. BEWARE!!!!!!!
Friday night we returned to Mr. Bs for the first time in about a year and a half. Last time we left feeling sick after every bite of our $50+ steaks felt like you put a tablespoon of salt in your mouth. After 1 1/2 years, I thought we could give it another try. Big mistake! I got the standard ribeye (because I was skeptical of getting the $70 bone in after our last experience). Every single bite, again, tasted like a tablespoon of salt. It was not good and I was frustrated to have paid $45 for it. My wife got the scallops, which were delicious! But for a place who calls themselves a steakhouse, it is pretty bad.We may return because the scallops were great. But we will never get another steak and what is supposed to be a top-notch steakhouse in the Milwaukee area. Go to Palmers Steakhouse for a great steak at about 2/3 the price if youre looking for a great steak.
Disappointing – used to be our favorite….we went for our first anniversary and we both ordered the Angus Ribeye. So different from the other times we were there in the past – almost like it was cooked differently. The cut had more fat than usual as well. Looks like we will have to look for another restaurant as it does not make sense to spend the kind of money they charge for the quality of the meat you get.
Don’t like this place, I love it! The servers are all professional and what you expect from the Bartolottas. The food is out of the world. I have no idea how they make meat melt in your mouth. Fantastic appetizers shrimp cocktail is consistently good but the lobster bisque is to die for. I have a hard time deciding between them!
So we returned to Mr B’s last night and had a wonderful evening. Snagged 7:15 reservations and arrived at 7:00. Unfortunately we weren’t seated until 7:45, but some large parties, 10+, lingered and threw off the pacing. No worries: the manager came over and bought us a second round of drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. Class move!! I had filet with bacon wrapped scallops combo and it was perfect. My wife’s filet was also spot on. Great service as usual and delicious food as expected.19 Jan, 2014Unfortunately disappointing. We frequently done out and count all the Bartolotta establishments as some of the best in Wisconsin. We enjoy dining at Mr B’s and place it alongside Eddie Martini’s for the best steak in town. That being said I was craving ribs so I ordered the baby backs last night. Among the worst ribs I have ever had at a restaraunt. So salty I should have returned them. Whether it is the supplier or the chef someone salts the meat excessively. Order the steaks or seafood but DO NOT order the ribs.
Scrumptious perfection!!!. My husband and I were there Friday night. We both ordered the Angus Rib-eye, as it is our favorite cut and we often grill them at home. Every aspect was perfect; the quality, the amount of salt and pepper, the char and the way we ordered them (medium rare and medium). What a delightful experience! The next time we are in the area we will be back to try the dry aged steaks!
Amazing food and service! Our steaks were cooked perfectly! Will defiantly go back for special occasions.
