Overrated. After a huge build up from someone who has dined there repeatedly, I had great expectations today. Sadly, either because the server didn’t get it right, or the expediter wasn’t paying attention, I did not get what I ordered. My friend, the repeat diner, was also greatly disappointed this visit because PS23 had completely changed the item preparation of her favorite entree, and didn’t make it clear on the menu or in a description by the server. They then denied it had EVER been prepared the way my friend described! To their credit they did comp both items, but we would rather have had a delightful experience. Will not be back. Will not recommend

Excellent food. My husband & I ate there for lunch yesterday to celebrate my birthday. This was our 4th time dining here, and each time it’s even better than I remember. I have to eat gluten free, and there is a large selection, not just the usual same old thing on a rice flour bun. They even gave me the dessert, an excellent GF key lime pie in a jar, free as a birthday present! The food is a few notches above every other place, yet simple enough not to be intimidating. Just really tasty food in a unique presentation.

Parkside 23 underwhelmed in a big way. The menu items we ordered were the Amish chicken and the Friday fish fry which was the special that the manager said we just had to try. First the chicken, the chicken itself was a fine cut of meat drown in a rather bland and tasteless cream sauce. This was mediocre and served with an exceptionally dry corn muffin as well as the worst collared greens I have ever had in my life, they tasted as if they’d been soaked in vinegar. Next up the fish fry which was atrocious. The batter was exceptionally sweet and tasted as if there was cinnamon in it. Further more there appeared to be more batter than fish. Served with some rather pedestrian potato pancakes. A complete rip off at twenty dollars for this entree. The dessert menu is a joke only offering 3 items, why even employee a pastry chef. I further would venture to say that by the decor and crowd this is where the above 50 crowd dines in an attempt to feel young and hip but just like the restaurant they too fail miserably

Wow! Wonderful service. My waitress was young, but very knowledgable about the food, and very beautiful (if I don’t say so myself). I had the Amish chicken, which was recommended by our server, which was delicious! My friend had the scallops (which our server recommended as well)He loved it. Oh and the cream corn is as amazing as they say. Highly recommend the cream corn. Has large pieces of bacon, poblano peppers, leeks, and plenty of corn -yum! It was a bit strange the chief was running around talking to people at the bar… You’d think he’d be cooking? Overall I love this place so far. Wonderful service and awesome tasty filling food!!!

The food and service are great. The music on the other hand is way too loud.We were here on Tuesdays for the live music..The band –Ryan Trio–too loud..I will call ahead next time to see who is playing…..

First visit to Ps 23. I had dinner tonight for the first time at Parkside 23. I was with a group of 8, and when we were taken to our table, I was concerned because it was right next to the service entrance to the kitchen. This can be the worst table in a lot of restaurants, because of the noise of the kitchen and wait staff. However, it turned out to not be a problem at all. The service we received was excellent, and while there were some menu items that were better than others, My entire party had a wonderful time. I had the veal with ravioli, which I enjoyed. We also shared some flatbread pizzas, and the creamed corn for appetizers. The creamed corn was a big hit at our table. I had a wonderful experience, and will certainly return again. The venue is lovely, very cozy and welcoming. Overall, a good experience.
