Very spotty quality. Atmosphere is fine given their size. Service varies by employee. One employee is good, the others appear to just not care or be not very bright. Deli salads are typically average to good, paninis are also a safe bet. Soups made me sick both times I had them. They were clearly warmed from frozen, not thoroughly heated, and not even stirred. They also have a freshness problem. In December I was sold meatballs that were covered in white mold on one side, then this month I received an eclair which had moldy filling packed into a fresh shell.

Spotty quality and capacity. I have eaten here a few times, and found that while this little hole-in-the wall on the site of the former V. Richard’s grocery store is sincere, the quality of the food is spotty. I have not been blown away by any soup, salad or sandwich I have ordered here. But my most recent trip, with my mother, tipped me towards the thumbs down. She ordered a reuben. After a long wait, it came out on a large, heavy piece of hard bread rather than rye. The bread was so thick that the cheese was not melted and the kraut was cold. And the corned beef was something that could likely inspire scorn from an Irish person. It was hard as shoe leather. It was late morning, but they also ran out of coffee and their featured pasta salad of the day.The bakery options are basically okay, but nothing I have brought home has impressed me as anything I would go out of my way for. I do hope they can focus on their processes and quality as this area could use a good corner deli.

50/50. Shopped there before they closed and since they re-opened, saved the two best sections of the store, besides the wine. A couple of my orders were misplaced or forgotten about and the workers were sorry and apologized, which I was fine with. Except when the manager came to talk to me, she was rude and made me feel like it was my fault and made excuses, old management would have never acted that way. Also, I use to enjoy deli sandwiches from there; however, last two times I felt like the bread was old and tasted stale. Friendly staff, but maybe management improvement.

Wonderful Bakery. The bakery at the re-opened V Richard’s Bakery & Deli is as good as ever! Their Fresh Fruit Tart is the best of any I’ve tried; the crust is super! The workers are attentive and personable; I would recommend ordering your next special dessert from them
