If you like dominoes, little cesers .pizza hut ,or toppers. Understandably you won’t like lisas. Try some real Italian food for a change. Unfortunately some people that are raised eating fast food pizzas don’t have a pallet. 1

I don’t understand…. very many people swear by this place, love it, insist it’s the best pizza in town, but every time I try it, it’s a bit run down inside and the pizza is average. Could it be that people are fondly remembering college days with UWM just up the road? not sure, but not best pizza, not best service, not best place, in my admittedly humble opinion.

Loved it!. I worked for Italians for many years before moving to the Milwaukee area. After trying several other local pizza joints, I decided to give this place a shot while I had family in town. WE LOVED IT. The crust was perfect, great service, and honestly the best pizza I’ve had since leaving my Italian work family. I know I’ll be going back. =]

Soggy pizza, bland sauce but reasonable prices. We’ve ordered many pizzas for delivery from Lisa’s and while they are acceptable delivery fare at reasonable prices, they are not even in the top ten of Milwaukee’s best pizza. The crust is typically soggy and the toppings terribly sloppy by the time they arrive. Still, we continue to order Lisa’s pizza on occasion because they get the job done. However, the restaurant’s pasta and salads are rather bland concoctions. They serve the most flavorless tomato based pasta sauce I’ve ever tasted. It seems devoid of any seasoning. The salads are an uninspired mix of iceberg lettuce and little else, although the black olives help. Still, Lisa’s is an east side tradition and will likely continue to be given its proximity to UWM and its hungry students. But if you are looking for good Italian food and great pizza, there are many other choices that do it much better.

I’m from Chicago, and I can still say that Lisa’s Pizzeria has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. It comes out quick and the service is great.
