I had some friends in town who love Indian food and we were on the west side of Madison so we decided to give Dhaba a try. Wow! We were blown away. By far the best Indian food we have had in the area. Even the simplest dishes like the rice were far and away the best we have had. Light, flavorful, I think it had cumin seeds in it. We had the naan and the aloo naan. Hot, buttery, dense and chewy, yummy! Our group of four had the lamb vindaloo curry, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobhi, and chicken tandoori. Everything was so good! They will ask you for your spice level and although ours ranged from mild to hot, the flavors of every dish were outstanding and everyone was satisfied w/the spice level. We even had leftovers to take home which were just as good the next day!The ambiance was clean, bright, and upscale. The service was polite, warm, and polished. There was really nothing about the experience I would have changed. We’ll definitely go back!

The food was amazing, service was great, and there was a nice comfortable setting. The best Indian Restaurant in the Madison Area! I would definitely come here again and I thought the prices were very reasonable!
We were three of us. We ordered 6 dishes and all 6 were good. 3 were outstanding. Chai, Yellow Daal and Gobi Parantha. Non veg platter is good and they do replace red meat with seafood oe chicken. My wife had Paneer and liked the dish but felt quality od Paneer coild be better. My daughter, missing Aloo Parantha loved it. It is a chef owned chef manages restaurant. Ues it is expensive. A 3 course meal for 3 is about 80-90 dollars including tips. Complimentary Lentil soup was out of the world. If it is about Good authentic Indian food, this is it.
Great New Indian Restaurant!. We tried to get in last Friday for lunch, but it was way too busy so we went back on Saturday. They have great lunch specials on the weekends where you can sample 3 different curries along with soup or salad, rice & dessert. It was so good, that we returned on Sunday with our 3 adult children! Our favorites were the lamb samosas, chicken makhani, lamb curry & the kheer. They have so many choices & will make it was hot or as mild as you want. They also are very accomodating with food allergies. We joked with the owner, Sonu, on our first visit that we would be back the next day. On our way out the second day, Sonu joked with us that he would see us on Tuesday since they are closed on Monday. Prices are very reasonable for both lunch ($6-7) and dinner ($11-15), and portions are large. There are many vegetarian choices along with 17 types of Indian breads. We’ll definitely be at Dhaba on a regular basis!
